I don't care about diversity bullshit. The problem is that while I appreciate a lot of new mechanics Battlefield has over the old ones, it's going to be lacking in the scope of 1942 again. It's probably just going to be US/UK vs. Germany/Japan until their gay expansion pack comes out later and adds Italians, Russians, Canadians, etc. Naval combat will be just like BF1, a battleship that shows up for a little bit halfway through the map instead of 1942 where you had battleships, subs, and aircraft carriers all usable on some maps.
It's too focused on balance for a game that no one even plays competitively and never will. It's these retards complaining shit is overpowered that's doing it, very few things in BF1 were even close to overpowered. Whiny little bitches if you ask me.

Look up Crete, allied losses were heavier and Creten farmers had barely anything to do with the heavy German losses, that came from the Anzacs you mong.

I always end up buying the DLC like a good goy, but it's hard to say this time. I have Battlefield 1 Premium but most of the servers with premium maps are empty. Community was split up. I remember them saying they'd address this with Battlefront II, all DLC will be free and no more split community. Look how that turned out, they had to replace it with other cancer.
Battlefield 1942 had expansions, but just the base game had tons of maps.

It had its flaws. Sliding mines under a moving tank and blowing it up instantly was a bit OP. The engineer guns were ridiculously overpowered considering there was no bullet drop or anything. But I want the new mechanics of BF mixed with the scope of the old ones is all.

I liked BF4 hardcore mode. Getting shot or hit with a bomb actually kills you, killing sprees are possible, because people cant just turn around WHILE GETTING SHOT and kill you because you have less hp. I wanted to play BF1 on hardcore but the Aussie servers are ALWAYS empty. Takes like 8 fucking shots to kill someone. Not to mention the ridiculous spot markers.
Last good BF for me was BFBC2, and BF3 & 4 on hardcore servers.
