In your example, intersex people, by definition, cannot have heterosexual relationships with literally anyone since heterosexuality is defined on a sex binary that doesn't account for the outliers (intersex people). Internal sex organs, external sex organs, and chromosomes - these 3 elements define sex. For 98.3% of the population these allign normally. For 1.7% of the population they do not. For people with an internal sex organ mismatch, their intersex status may not be identified until puberty, when their body begins producing more sex hormones. Intersex isn't a life threatening condition.
