Cars get hot because the radiative heat transfer still happens through the glass, but the convective heat transfer with the atmosphere doesn't with the windows closed. Greenhouse gases tamper with the balance of heat transfer in a different way, allowing solar radiation to come in but not allowing as much thermal radiation to be emitted back out. Whether the shift works in our favor depends on how much insulation we're stacking on compared to how much insolation we're getting.
Pumping more energy into a chaotic system like the atmosphere makes it more chaotic and less predictable. It won't be a simple uniform increase in temperature, which is at least part of why it's called climate change now. Weather patterns will become more erratic and conditions that were considered extreme and rare will become more common.

The sun transmits energy via visible and invisible light. The visible and infrared light can get through the glass, when it hits the inside of the car the light is converted into heat. That heat is then trapped inside the car.
