Of course not everything can be blamed on one specific cause, however there is much that is attributable to their practices.
First socially: Jewish people have their own culture and heritage. This is not a bad quality in and of itself. One of the consequences of this though is that Jewish people need a multicultural society if they want to exist outside of Israel.
