I'm salty because in elementary school (age 5 through age 11, idk if you garbage-gene spics have the same system) the American school system spends a lot of time teaching kids about the dangers of alcohol and drugs. And for the most part, the kids agree, they are all like "Yeah we are gonna do our best to say no to drugs and alcohol! We want to be healthy and productive!" Myself included.

It has never stopped baffling me, I just don't understand, how did I turn out different? Sex is different. First of all, it's not that easy for a 12 year old to get alcohol, nevermind weed. Second of all, when you hit puberty, you automatically know sex feels good. You don't have to experience it, it is hard-wired. But alcohol and weed are not that way, kids do not know what they feel like, or even how to get it, and furthermore, other alternatives are readily available, such as candy and video games. That's how I was. I fucking ate candy and fucking played motherfucking video games, and the need for the thrill of pot never crossed my fucking mind. I was satiated. I guess I understand, kids will do what adults tell them not to do. But I just can't understand how I was so different. How was I the only one, out of 50 kids, to not naturally drift into drugs/alcohol? It just didn't even cross my mind.

Having fun, yes I get it, but what I don't understand is two things:

1. Why did they ALL turn to drugs and alcohol, out of all the ways to have fun with your friends? Out of all the laws to break? For instance, trespassing was a big vice of mine as a child, something me and my friends would do in 5th and 6th grade.

2. The timeframe. It was over the summer. 3 months, and these TWELVE YEAR OLDS all acquired a reliable source of weed and beer, and jumped on board with zero hesitation, without a second thought, despite the indoctrination we received in elementary school.
