A 100ft tsunami might have water that reaches a mile or two inland. It would do a lot of damage to the buildings and infrastructure (like ports) the water comes in contact with but to say that it will destroy the state of CA or that much of the state will be under water is ridiculous.

Nah. Still lots of lava. More to come. On the live stream earlier the mods pointed out that the shortest time an eruption flowed lava was 88 days and we are only on day 24. The longest was years. So anywhere between 64 days and years to go as far as lava. >The main event is different. The magma chamber for Kilauea crater is still lowered, reducing its structural integrity. Earthquakes are becoming a lot more frequent (nearly 400 in 24 hours) which could result in collapsing of the caldera. That in itself will create some shaking and would plug the crater up leading to a possible explosion, which would possibly BUMP the SLUMP causing it to dump.
