You can't invade 'Danzig' when Danzig democratically elected the NSDAP to power and wishes to reunify with Germany which was their right as an independent political entity. It was the Polish who explicitly threatened war if the 'territorial status of Danzig was to change' and Britain and France were only to happy to support this warped line of reasoning if only to keep their geopolitical containment strategy alive.
