I'm giving up my guns, Jow Forums, and you should too. After the recent school shootings my wife had a long discussion with me. She said she has gotten increasingly concerned about the presence of guns in the house and showed me numerous statistics about how dangerous guns really are. I was angry at first, but she was adamant. After a while I began to see things for her perspective. We need to lead by example for our young daughter and, although we are only one family, getting rid of the guns is one small step in the right direction for the nation.

After this conversation I made the difficult decision to give up nearly all of my guns. My wife said it was alright if I kept a .22 pistol since we live way out in the country. The antique guns were sold to a high-end dealer and the rest were sold at a buyback. The money will go towards funding a kitchen remodel that we have been talking about doing.

I know this seems ridiculous but it made sense in the end. I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't want my children growing up in a nation where they have to be afraid of being gunned down while they sit in class.
