As to why it's taken this long? I was starting a business out of college and she was finishing graduate school. Kind of wish we'd done it sooner, but we're in a much better financial position now and can afford to have children (hopefully the following year).

When someone asks "why aren't you getting married?" I respond with "why WOULD I?". I never really seem to get a straight answer.

Heres the thing about being married and starting a family, you end up having to give things up. You gotta spend money you would have spent on beer, guns, your car and vidya on daipers and shoes and shit. You have to sit through your daughters horrible piano recital or go watch ypu kid enthusiastically fail at baseball instead of going online for some PUNG or going out with the guys for beer. You end up hanging out with other people less and travel less and generally have to become less selfish and focus on deriving happiness from making others within your family happy instead.
