If you've ever gotten a call from someone you didn't know, answered it "hello" and they hung up after a 2 second delay it was most likely someone trying to scam you. They were hoping you'd answer the phone "yes?" and they could record that.

Sometimes when I get those calls I just blow into the mic. I have an autistic theory that those bots/scripts are just programmed to respond to any kind of noise input from the person being called (scammed)

I work at a cell phone repair store.
FaceID sucks and is easy to crack.
It is slightly more difficult than touch ID, but can be done with the right tools.
The iPhone X is just a waste of money, get a OnePlus or an S9 if you want to blow your money.
Also, if you want a secure phone, you need to get a windows phone/blackphone/turing phone if you can find one.
to be honest, the most secure phone is don't get one, but if you are really autistic I think there is a version of TAILS for cellular phone.
Don't even think about Buying a pixel or anything from HuaWei if you even remotely care about security.
Also, windows sucks and is easy to crack open, but atleast the windows phone doesn't have that many trackers.

It's a compromise. Apple refused to give the feds an exploit to bypass screen locks for their devices so they just ship them with flimsy security now in exchange for some tax dollars. The FBI and NSA are the reason devices across the board are so riddled with exploits. Hackers can use the same flaws just as well.
