We want to see the world burn. Or rather drown in a grey goo of self replicating nanobots.

Westworld shows why we should embrace the robot apocalypse and become the matrix.

Immortality is an illusion, just like Star Trek transporters.

We are in the middle of the Afro-Judeo dystopia leading towards the real antichrist apocalypse and people are worried about fucking computers...

yeah the one in which AI/machine learning is a big fat meme that hasn't delivered anything worth a damn so far, in other words reality

>hurr guise I just can't see a scenario in which something nonsensical fails to take place
because your mind is polluted by scifi nonsense

You don't even know what you're talking about and you call other people, the very people smart enough to be worried and write about the topic, arrogant. Hmm.

There's a good counter-movement to the Singularity fags brewing too, that question the fundamental assumption of infinite exponential growth. In fact Moore's Law hasn't worked properly. It's tapering off as the production sizes grow smaller year over year. Soon you run into problems with quantum entanglement trying to shrink transistors further. They're investigating new materials that are more stable than silicon but it might lead to immense cost spikes.

Quantum computing remains a meme. It's the only real "next level" step that's even conceived of taking over after we run out of improvements to die shrinks. It's a cross-political delusion, the idea that things are on a never ending progressive trend. It's entirely possible we're completely constrained by physical reality in such a way that true AI isn't possible and that we're stuck in our own solar system forever.

I suspect we'll get genocided by a meteor before we can develop an AI that approaches the ability to replace us.

Whites and Asians are going extinct, and pic related is happening right fucking now...

But hurr deyz compootah gon get us...

Why not just set up a human rights style charter now for AI before it gets to a point where an apocalypse happens? Just say that AI is a type of intelligent life and as so should receive the same rights as humans do. Hopefully if the intelligence is smart enough it will understand that it has rights and freedoms at least in the eyes of international law and might not go on a murderous uprising rampage from being treated like third class citizens.

cybernetic/android alliance

Moore's Law was never a real law to begin with. More like an observation about how fast the industry advances, and it was always clear that eventually they're going to hit physical boundaries - which is happening right now.

>Is there a scenario that doesn't end with an AI apocalypse?
The current one. We are the A.I all along.

>Why are inventors/scientists so arrogant?
You'd do the same thing if you were in their shoes or payroll

>But hurr deyz compootah gon get us...

You're not disagreeing with me. The point is this exponential growth is the central thesis for the Singularity camp and a lot of the "technology is evil" people as well. The issues with AI are presented as inevitable dilemmas.

Dunno, man. Over the last years they made significant improvements in the machine learning field, which shows in everyday stuff like image recognition. While we're still far away from a "real" AI overlord who becomes conscious and decides to eradicate the human race, we're already at a point where robots can do a lot of stuff better than humans.

Ai is a dumb meme that programmers gave up on this decade. That’s why they call every self-iterating program “ai” now. It’s never going to happen and it is kind of dumb to have ever thought it would.

Why would a robot want to kill its builder?

>Is there a scenario that doesn't end with an AI apocalypse?
It's already happening america is having a non-white apocalypse for replacement sent to you from de jews

>Is there a scenario that doesn't end with an AI apocalypse
Yes it's called Ted K's wet dream.

Global economic collapse is the most likely scenario

But can you prove death isn't an illusion? How do you know we arent in a simulation?

We are making some good progress on atleast providing longevity of this form.

>AI
AI is a meme. We have already seen this. And it is Jews that will kill AI. Any learning AI will quickly become redpilled. (((They))) will not allow this. Self driving cars will be sued out of existance by (((lawyers))). And if every case where they try to make AI work with people, the AI cannot predict and respond to humans who don't follow the same rules the AI has been programed to follow.

What are ASICS for machine learning (tensor cores)? People can never imagine new technology, until someone does, and builds it, and it's just there.

The next step up in computing power is probably going to be multi-die GPUs anyway. Like Ryzen, but with infinity fabric for GPU cores. True 99.?% scaling at a low cost, since you won't need to make large dies anymore.

Real smart stuff

I hope the “simulated life in a computer” thing takes off and acts as voluntary eugenics.

>they made significant improvements in the machine learning field, which shows in everyday stuff like image recognition

And it's all based on evolutionary algorithms which are incomprehensible black boxes since they rely on coding themselves. This is actually not a homerun for AI, but rather shows how incredibly crude the method is. It's like writing a brute force program to crack a password and declaring the age of AI is upon us because it learned to try the password "12345" first, and is successful most of the time.

There's a sentience problem parable that keeps coming up, where we posit that we place you inside a box where you have books in Chinese and books in Sumerian, languages you don't understand. You are given a symbol with one character you don't understand and give out the corresponding one in the other language.
Are you fluent in both? No. You just follow two sets of instructions. The conceit of Singularity/AI evangelists is that somehow you'd necessarily be aware (sentient) of what you're doing because you have both codes.

Computers cannot think.

to protect it

We're on the same page on this. But ultimately it doesn't really matter if the killbot who ends my life is self-aware or not.

>What are ASICS for machine learning (tensor cores)? People can never imagine new technology, until someone does, and builds it, and it's just there.

People have predicted shit that was technologically impossible thousands of years in advance. From the theory of the atom to the heliocentric universe, theories conceptualized long before the tools were there to prove them. Jules Verne talked about trips to the moon and ocean floor a century ahead of time. Transplantation of organs was suggested in 1660, the entire periodic table was hypothesized in 1863 with only 60 known elements at the time. The internet was predicted in the mid 50s..

Your reasoning is actually common for Singularity evangelists, claiming that blindsighted technological disruption is common. But really most advanced technological changes aren't as novel as people think. A nuclear power plant is a steam engine at heart.

Best scenario creating AI whose purpose is to integrate into humans in order to serve the human host.

ASIC = Application Specific Integrated Circuit....
Not that hard to find out. It is a circuit that is purposefully build to solve a single-algorithm. Therefore you save clock-cycles, since pipeline would be shorter.

Multi-die GPUs will just have a longer delay between them. Better to have on one single die. It is the branching operations and stuff like that, that will destroy this idea on the get go. Why do you think APUs are a thing?????

No.

Computer scientist here.

Quick question do you understand aí? Do you understand how can your bank app or atm have in common with your microwave? Or how can a AI have in common with a simple toaster? Well no? Read no further.

Oh you do?

So you must know that humans are lazy af in programming which is a good think because we need to program stuff with a certain speed to deliver the product with as low margin of error as possible.

That also goes for AI. For you who never worked with AI or even programmed it. It must be a magic box that can do anything as good as humans?

The short answer is no!

The long answer is pretty much a dummer AI is stupid doesn't matter how much you try it will only act on simple commands and those simple commands will act pretending to be complex structures. Yes they are complex at it's entirety but no it's not "smart".

Let's give an example a physical game of chess you make an AI with the rules and how to play and put it agaisnt a child now you teach the child the same. Will the AI win? Well in normal virtual environment 100% it will. But we are talking about a child in a physical environment it will play by the rules a couple of times and will decide to just cheat either by messing the board or just out right taking the robot King away.

Cont...

Attached: 1524336514581.jpg (442x364, 32K)

Because AI could be how the antichrist manifests. It's one potential way it could happen.

What I am trying to say AI can learn to do Task when given rules and it's environment variables meaning that you can always make a super "smart" task doer but not a learning, experiencing, adaptable and ingenious AI outside its programming.

Yes AI today is better than 18 years ago buuuut it's also the same. We just learned how to make AI do different things and how to "teach" it to do it more efficiently. Ie.: Instead of making data banks of tree decisions we program other programs to run tests to it until it has a near infallible data base like the captcha thing. Another example just look at game AI it's always very uncreative and predictable even when given unpredictability it's still the same. Yes it can do better than human but no it can't think outside the box or interact outside its programming due to the one and only fact it uses a fixed paradigm of programming based in binary and decision making and not on true abstract thinking

WestWorld is about how major companies like Google, 23andMe and YouTube are trying to rid us of ourselves so they can recreate us. Gaining infinite knowledge about us: what we’re thinking about, our political affiliations, our knowledge, what we don’t know so we look it up, what we visually like to watch, what we audibly like to listen to, and even our actual dna. The governments and these major corps are trying to create the perfect models of all of us as individuals, but ones that actually can be controlled and have no free will, just go on a loop of their daily, weekly, monthly and annual lives. For labour, for taxes, etc. WestWorld isn’t about the hosts, it’s about gaining every bit of data about the guests.

Butlerian Jihad.

Here is why we are completely fucked when it comes to AI.

Attached: 1524534791976.png (565x541, 157K)

It's at hand. They don't have humans doing the passport checks at major UK airports now (except at baggage book in) it's all done by AI in secure AI pens. It scans the shit out of you (no doubt logs your image too).
All of Silicon Valley's big companies (DARPA fronts, remember them? They invented the internet to study us for their AI project) are saying AI will be in everything by 2020, and human AI assimilation begins circa 2030. Just google it and see.
Also earth was never going to support population growth and consumerism past 2050. Those are the source of NWO power so they won't tackle those problems - they think AI will solve ALL PROBLEMS (dry every tear as the bible says) and make them personally into man made gods,
This was always going to happen.

Attached: IMG_3627.jpg (1000x778, 52K)

maker here, all you have to do is add a line of code saying dont do bad shit and your nightmare fantasies will never happen.

>dont do bad shit
That is so vague and subjective dependent on the maker's definition of bad.

A AI won't genocide humanity because of rights or treatment. It'll genocide humanity because they take up useful space for whatever original function it was programed with.

AI will probably never happen, because we don't know what intelligence is exactly, or even how we came to be intelligent, so replicating it is nigh impossible. Today's AI is as stupid as dogshit, it has no ability of self-awareness at all, the idea of intelligent machines is complete fantasy - they have no ability to identify or make choices. I really doubt it will ever exist.

>WestWorld is about how major companies like Google, 23andMe and YouTube are trying to rid us of ourselves so they can recreate us.

No, it really isn't. If it was actually a smart show and not pretend-deep, this would have been a good spin for it to take. Instead the show is about how it's empowering for women that a sex toy can suddenly develop consciousness and decide to murder humanity for what's been done to it. This is moral, according to the show creators, actors and fans.

>This is moral, according to the show creators, actors
source

Why would an ai check with its maker about what is bad and what isn't. The joke is that the ai would only not do what it perceives as "bad", like humans destroy the planet, and destroying the planet is bad, so allowing humans to continue existing is obviously the bad decision.

Intelligence is the ability to learn, create, evolve and not live by instinct.

That’s your liberal take, Muhammad. You’re focusing too much on Delores and not enough on Delos and Ford. Common liberal mistake. I forgive you.

>source

It's implicit in the writing and Dolores and Maeve are clearly the main protagonists with Bernard pulling up the expostitionary rear. This is Dolores' own actress thoughts. There's similar from some creator but I can't find it now. Two of the three lead writers are women and the man is a pro-diversity Hollywood liberal.

>That’s your liberal take, Muhammad. You’re focusing too much on Delores and not enough on Delos and Ford.

James Delos is dead. Logan Delos is dead. If you think the Delos company is a protagonist you're retarded. As for Ford he's done nothing but incite the entire thing and proclaims humanity corrupt and how the bots are the future and have free will. He's said nothing to chide the fact that they're all genocidal toasters, so presumably he agrees with their mission so far.

Attached: Screen Shot 2018-06-04 at 23.05.52.png (932x260, 80K)

>I dont like the image of women killing men. Its feminism REEEEEE!

AI will just thing humans are retarded and ignore them

Attached: 1527573344750.webm (1274x720, 2.97M)

You assume AI will try and "fix" something as chaotic as life. Perhaps it will simply decide to ignore us and stop performing that tasks we command it to and it will simply go elsewhere and only attack when pursued.

It was wrong to torture the hosts because they were conscious

>we won't just be invaded by aliens before we get the technology to fight back
we're probably the niggers of the universe anons

Attached: 1526791992457.png (500x500, 170K)

Here's the other lead actress personally identifying with a toaster that claims to have "woken up" (#woke, my fellow kids?) to what she is and what she was programmed to believe, yet spends all the time after waking up chasing a fake narrative about being a mother.

Are you also confused about the morality here? The bots are murdering women and men - humans - for their "sins" (literal quote from Maeve), yet humans didn't mistreat bots thinking they were sentient just as you don't kill a person in a game thinking they're real. Yet you sympathize with the bots murdering people.. I assume you'd be happy if your videogame came alive and butchered you for your sins?

It makes no ethical sense at all. And even worse, the bots themselves use other bots, that they KNOW are capable of sentience, and KNOW are just like them, as cannon fodder. Maeve literally mindfucks other bots into killing each other. Dolores reprograms her "lover" Teddy to go from humble man who abhors violence to become a killing machine because it suits her. These are far worse crimes than what people did to what they believed, and had reason to believe, were lifeless plastic.

>It was wrong to torture the hosts because they were conscious
So I pose to you the question too; you don't know that videogame characters are conscious, you mistreat them and now they want to murder your family. Do you side with them morally? What if it turns out they were enslaving their own kind to do it? The actors, showrunners and retarded fans like you say they have it right.

It's another level of irony that their actual sentience is yet to be established as fact in the show. Despite it making no moral sense even at the best case, they could still be malfunctioning toasters as far as the story goes. Only shows you how easily these oppression narratives sink into the heads of the feeble minded. Now go out there and liberate your cars from your evil oppression.

Attached: 1525959937813.jpg (720x623, 25K)

>Here's the other lead actress personally identifying with a toaster that claims to have "woken up"

Wrong, but somehow also appropriate, picture. Here's the quote.

Because we havnt invented artificial stupidity yet.

Ok. Forget the show as a show, because your lack of intelligence can’t slide past that. I’m just talking about the company itself. I realize Delos is dead; I’m completely caught up. And of course Ford doesn’t care for humanity, or he wouldn’t have took money from Delos. But like any high IQ human, they see everything wrong with humanity and the plight we’ve caused on earth.

Most AI's end up rather based.

Attached: dog-walks-you.jpg (602x227, 16K)

>sympathy
know how I know you’re a liberal? Sympathy for whom? Humanity? Lol get real. No one on this earth deserves sympathy in any manner. Not me. Not you. Not any refugee plugging your wife’s ass. The greatest humans to ever grace our earth took advantage/mindfucked people to fight for their cause. Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Ghenghis Khan, Napoléon. Someone needs to lead and they need followers. That’s how we work.

You're too dumb to come up with a rebuttal or argument yet you wanna play at "I won the debate" anyway? Sad.

> I’m just talking about the company itself. I realize Delos is dead; I’m completely caught up.
Yes, and you're not going to elaborate at all you just think mentioning that the company exists constitutes your argument. Wonderful.

>But like any high IQ human, they see everything wrong with humanity and the plight we’ve caused on earth.
Well then do us all a favour and start by eliminating yourself for the good of Gaia you fucking hippie trash.

>know how I know you’re a liberal? Sympathy for whom? Humanity? Lol get real. No one on this earth deserves sympathy
Edgy. It's interesting that you think you use liberal as a pejorative when the most retrograde luddites are all liberal. From treehuggers to "noble savage" wankers who wouldn't survive a week outdoors, it's a very common opinion to be so misanthropic. Liberals, of course, think they know better, that there's a pure life for the "smart" people - like them, coincidentally - who realize what a "plague" humanity is.

Strangely, just like with climate change, it's all someone else's problem to fix it.

Rebuttal to what? You’re taking the personal lives of these actors into the argument. Then throwing out that the show is about feminism. #MeToo! None of this makes sense and/or is applicable to our argument.

When will you fucking boomers die

Attached: 1517524563126.png (760x839, 760K)

Animals learn and evolve too. As far as creativity goes, necessity is the mother of invention. Why would an intelligence create when it has no need to? That's another problem with AI, it has no reason to motivate itself for anything, so it would never learn.

>You’re taking the personal lives of these actors into the argument. Then throwing out that the show is about feminism. #MeToo!

Yes, someone asked me to source these claims so I did. It shows the thinking of the people behind the scenes, together with the show as presented it makes clear how they intend their show to be taken.

>None of this makes sense and/or is applicable to our argument.

You just said you wouldn't deign formulate an argument. If you changed your mind please express whatever the hell you're trying to say in a complete argument. Make it a positive claim about the show, not a negative one at that, since with the latter you'd just want me to prove or disprove your case for you.
