I'm from Salto and travel quite frequently. I have yet to see a single one living there. To be fair, it's even more expensive to settle in Salto than Montevideo.

it has become quite common recently. Many new McDonaldsand Burguer Kings have opened, recently Starbucks settled opening their first shop and have already announced 9 more to open by 2019.
You can't really blame the people for choosing fast food over traditional parrilladas, food in here unbelievably expensive.
