The problem is good threads require good replies. A good reply takes time to write out. By the time you've written out a big reply the thread is gone because newfags and plebbitors are content with just spamming the post button with what ever nonesense that comes out their mouth. They are psychologically incapable of not posting. The do not have the patience to lurk long enough to read the thread. They just see something they disagree with and make a post about it. It never ends. They have no self control at all.
We should make Ops with no links or at least two paragraphs of text should be ban-able. We should greatly extend the thread limit. An especially tedious captcha would also help.
