My main problem with Autism is that it's a spectrum disorder and yet everyone still just says someone is "autistic" as if that tells the whole story. I often need to deal with autistic patients in my line of work, and it's endlessly annoying when someone only warns me they have autism, without elaborating.
Some people with autism you'd never know. They end up being mariofanboys in their late 30s, but other than that seem perfectly normal. You'd never even know they were autistic if it didn't get brought up.
Then there are the autistic people that can barely speak and cannot function. The ones that fly into a violent rampage if you happen to misstep in the mental minefield they present you with.

The weirdest part about this is that they get basically the same benefits. My neighbors had an older autistic son who was in the second category, where he couldn't even speak and every time I went over to their place more of their stuff was missing, having been destroyed. They were getting the same money as the family of a former coworker, who was first category autistic, so didn't constantly destroy property and could hold down a normal job.

I have been diagnosed within this Autism Spectrum.. It depends on how much of a dose you were born with. A drop or two of this tincture can accentuate imagination, creativity, intuition, intelligence with some accompanied drop off of differing social skills, emotion recognition, interpersonal awareness, etc. It can be a good trade if you're born into good genes otherwise. If you get the big dosage, then you're pretty well fucked. Flying rages, sperg-outs, self-harm, uncontrollable boinky and violent nuttiness. Gotta send you off to a group home somewhere where you can obsess about sticking metal utensils into wall sockets. It's a fine line..
