Are audiobooks as useful as plain reading? I'd prefer to sit down and read tons of physical books but I really don't have the time and it becomes tiresome taking weeks to finish a book I could normally do in a week or less. Also where to torrent good audiobooks and is there a free player for them that would hold a bookmark like Audible does?

Audiobooks are better as long as the voice is good. You can listen to them while you cook, clean, drive, build things. So you end up getting a lot more """reading""" in your life.

It doesn't solve my issue with finding actual time to sit down for an hour and read that isn't already being used for something else. I could listen while I work out, commute, lurk, cook, clean, fish which would already be drastically more time than I can spare to sit down and read. I had audible for a little while but stopped using it after a little while and I used it during most of those activities.
