i never had holocaust class when i was in high school in FL about 5-10 years back. there was just a couple paragraphs about how efficient the killing process was...

The problem is the killing operation was not efficient at all. There are many documentaries explaining how the Germans would have done it better.

One example of German ingenuity, Erwin Rommel wanted the beaches of Normandy protected. The time it took to insert defensive wooden poles into the beach was 15 minutes and had to be reduced to 3 minutes in order to better defend the beaches. This was accomplished by attaching a high pressure water hose to a metal pipe, forcing the sand to give way for the wooden pole to be inserted into the beach.

If the Germans wanted to kill millions, they could have, but not the way the historians claim. The Germans would have calculated how much time it would have taken and made adjustments in order to accomplish this but this wasn't done because the concentration camp inmates were used for labor.

Auschwitz and many other camps were for manufacturing purposes. Prior to the war, Jews were being deported to Israel. In the time of war, countries are allowed to put foreign nationals to work. The Germans believed they could win until the very end. Here are some documentaries that are worth watching.

You take two one semester P/F history courses on various topics. Generally they only convene one per course due to the number of them. They included holocaust class, the civil war 1859-1865 (most popular), indian history, generalized European history, French history, English history, Arab history, pre-industrialized American history, pre-colonial american history, Chinese history, and a few others.
