Why couldn´t it be as such: God, original Potential, was trying things for fun & creativity, trying to find ways via which God could "do" things or "experience" things. Thus the creation of Divine beings (but not Gods). They were not separate enough, so God forcefully separated part of himself into Creation. This would make (You) more real.

I just asked myself: What is needed for anything to "be" = Potential. Thus God = Potential. It all follows from there, with a pinch of imagination (that Everything would have some kind of urge to experience what we call life & existence). It could also be more of an automatic thing, where the original Potential merely "spawns" any and all Potentialities ongoingly, we and the universe being one of these. Spinoza I guess.
