I honestly have no issue with antiquated 3D graphics, but I grew up on a steady diet of N64 and Saturn games, so take what I say with a grain of salt. My only real gripe with the game, how brown everything is, even works in its favor for establishing a truly odd and alien world.

I still play it from time to time, but I tend to get lost in it for hours, so it's really not good for me. I've replayed it so many times throughout the years it's insane. Mostly vanilla, with a few tweak mods, nothing that changes shit too much though. No graphic overhauls or combat mods, it's still a great game with deepest fucking lore. The engine aged horribly though, save a lot, because it will crash when you least expect it.

It is still good. Tamriel Rebuilt alone adds a fuckton of content that doesn't really clash with the original experience IMO, and OpenMW (a work in progress open source engine in case you aren't aware of it) has even has functional multiplayer at this point. I haven't touched Oblivion in about a decade but Morrowind has a certain essence to it that the newer TES games haven't been nor will likely ever be able to replicate.
