Now, as someone who has taken karate for nearly 2 years I can safely say that I have never felt the need to own, much less carry, a gun. And I have lived in some very sketchy areas. You are much more likely to come under threat from a robber than a tyrannical government.
Before you start going on about some tyrannical government you need to realize that the government has tanks, bombs, and drones. Also, there has never been a tyrannical government in this nation's history. So even if there WERE a tyrannical government, which there never has been, it's not like you'd be able to put up much of a fight anyway. So that whole argument is garbage.
This country needs to stop allowing the NRA to perpetuate baseless fears to hold this nation's legal system hostage.
