Good for you and the right attitude. Usually, the police is doing a good job at keeping the opposing sides apart, the only mingling can occur after the event when participants go home. Antifa are cowards and like to attack as a mob, but they are also horribly weak, so if you're halfway fit, it's no problem to defend yourself IF they dare to attack you, which they usually don't do. 80% of them are schoolgirls, literally, and the other 20% figuratively but LARPING as resistance fighter or whatever. But usually, if you don't want to get into a brawl, just leave after the event while the police still provides protection and you'll be fine. (Actually, the police rather protects the Antifa from themselves, if the police wouldn't be there and there would be a fight, they'd be BTFO pretty quickly).
Consider yourself hugged, that user is a little bit mean every now and then. It's just banter. If you want to, go right ahead, immerse yourself, and have fun. It's a question that only you can decide in the end, but if you want to learn German, I highly reccomend trying to get into some sort of situation where you have to talk/read German a lot. You could for example grab Mein Kampf and have a translator open next to it to get a grasp of words. You'd be amazed how fast you start seeing strucutures. This sadly cannot replace building a foundation by learning vocab (for which read+translate is great) and verbs with their grammar (this needs specific, boring practice). Good luck.
