Well, call me a shill, but there are many job positions that are not filled unless hungry immigrants come to take them.
These positions would not be profitable if employers had to pay higher wages, and havng them filled helps the economy a lot (because otherwise there are roadblocks in the economy; also these workers then consume).

Obviously, there are questions about immigrants who come and don't work, and how immigrant's children will fare in the school system. But immigration done right is good for the economy.

Although it's becoming more and more obvious that capitalism needs to be more national-based if you want everyone to enjoy the fruits of growths.
