It's not. Turkey won't accept that it happened and the USA refuses to take sides because it doesn't want to ruin it's relationship with Turkey. The rest of the world however if fully aware of the genocide. It was well documented. And of course the Turks didn't just kill Armenians, they also killed many christians Greeks and Slavs, around the end of ottoman rule.

A sad case, interesting history tho. Armenian people contributed nicely to my country, were loyal citizens while remembering their original identity.
With their knack for trade they were essentially non-parasitic jews.

I think Armenia has a very nice mountainous alpine countryside. And like I said before it's not much worse than any other former Soviet republic. It took a big hit during the collapse of the Soviet union, and it's a small country so it doesn't have a high gdp and most people are poor. But it's not a 3rd world country. It has infrastructure and most people are highly educated. It has a literacy rate of almost 100%. And despite the poverty, it has less crime than Russia and most other eastern European countries.
