I can't speak for fat women but as a fat man I became enlightened before I decided to lose weight for trivial reasons such as looking better (although that's a plus.) So not only did being fat, realizing why I was fat, and realizing why I didn't want to be fat anymore change me for the better as a person, I'm not likely to gain the weight back either. I've lost 60 pounds so far and haven't gained any of it back, still going down.
