Syrian Army stops militant advance towards Palmyra from US lines: Russian military
BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:40 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies prevented militants from breaking out of the Al-Tanf region towards the historical city of Palmyra this morning, the Russian Reconciliation Centre reported.
“On June 11… Syrian government troops with the support of the Russian Aerospace Forces prevented militants attempting to break out of the area of the Al-Tanf settlement toward Palmyra,” the statement read, as quoted by Sputnik News Agency.
The remaining militants returned to the Al-Tanf lines, which is a U.S. protectorate.
