That blue portion IS Quebec. That is where 99% of Quebecois have lived historically. The rest is Rupert's Land which remains largely unoccupied and undeveloped. Quebec has no legal claim to that land as a separate entity.

Ontario here. I believe Quebec adds value to our country that cannot be provided for by the anglos. It is similar to the influence historically exerted by France on Europe. They also contribute negatives due to some of the most abject leftism and anti-Christian rhetoric, but that is a common problem around the world.
