And, in fact, internal immigration to Texas is decreasing. Less than 100k people move to Texas from other states each year and not even 1/3 of that is from California.
Texas, Georgia, Utah, North Carolina and Arizona are states where Trump did worse with whites than Romney, otherwise he'd have won by a similar margin (if you look at 3rd party voters who are predominatly white).
And you can't compare Reagan's landslide to Trump's victory because back then the political situation was much different.
