Why don't you read it and find out?

Originally published in hebrew, I wonder if there are any differences between the editions

It's written by a Jew, so it's garbage.

I'm asking for opinions, user.

Spain’s is good, it’s a solid timeline of events of history and evolution but don’t worry about his second book it’s rubbish

It's being hyped quite a lot.

Homo Deus?

Yeah. The future for our species is one word: extinct.

A false history of the world from a hard materialist Jew who believes mainstream history despite mentioning gobekli tepe. It's utter shit. For brainlet normies. Take the John Anthony West pill.

i found it very interesting and definitely recommend it. i also read it while working in the jungles of papua new guinea alongside literal primitive hunter gatherers. the book complemented the experience pretty well.

Interesting book. Completely dismisses IQ variance across race

It's very (((shit))). I hadn't read it in full, but it's basically an ultraliberal pretentious and materialist reiteration of the history of Western Civ. Mixed in some elements of quasi-Atheistic thought here and there.

Give it a miss/10

Seruously interested to hear about that experience. Please share.

What this user said.

I expected the first book to be an overview of history until today and the second one a hypothetical look into what the future might be. Instead it was going over a lot of the same material and then some "what if" scenarios. It's basically structured so you can read either or but when it comes down to that choice, stick with Sapiens.

Thanks. I think I might read it. I'm an ignorant user who needs some history introduction.

The basic gist of the book, if I recall correctly, is the evolution of man - how we came to be the dominant species and what discoveries facilitated that and have got us to the present day. So it's not a history book in the typical sense, focusing more on innovations than overall historic events and characters. I would recommend it - it was interesting enough that I breezed through it in a couple of days.

It's actually fantastic, one of my favorite books.

Blurbed by Obama and Bill Gates. Go figure.

The early part touches on what could be called meme magic.

sheeeeit

I read t, it’s great. But most people here refuse to read actual science.

Yeah this is a great choice, if you love pseudo-science.

it is ok, if you dont know much about the subject it isnt bad. none of it is really news though

I've read it. It's a really good book. Although written by a jew I still found it interesting and eye opening. The author tries to remain purely scientific without taking sides. You will find liberal ideas but right winged ideas as well. For example he talks about the benefits that colonialism actually had on people, a liberal would go crazy about imperialism and colonialism, but this jew takes only the facts.
"there is no justice in history" - Sapiens

seconding this post, i was impressed when he decribed universal human rights as being an arbitrary idea of the same kind as the old rights of nobility

>Hariri
Nani?!

the book is no way ultraliberal. You just cant get over the myth part he talks about because you fear daddy in the sky
>did not read the book = its shit bois
>literally cant have an open mind because
>muh faith

Read it. It was horrible. The author keeps contradicting himself in the points he's trying to make and he makes claims that are blatantly (and easily verifiably) false. I think it was the worst book I ever had the displeasure of reading.

What was one of those contradictions?

>yuval

>a brief history of humankind

all you need is the Bible

Retarded book written by a gay jew. Read a true evolutionary biology book.

Anything made by jews is hyped

I want to read it, the way a friend of mine described it it sounds like an uncucked version of guns germs and steel.

Yea, what a surprise.

Don't even go near it.

Can you recommend an evolutionary biology book?

How do you give a history of mankind when most of our history gets destroyed ever roughly 24,000 years?
