I know that the US super battleships didn't start appearing until 1900-1910. What's funny is that the US held out of WW1 and then thought they were going to save the day. We got trench foot just like everyone else and then the 20th century obama (woodrow wilson) roped everyone in to the Wiemar Republic in Germany and the League of Nations.

the funny thing is that according to hollywood that's exactly what happened during both world wars. the US of course contributed massively(mostly WWII) but the movies resulting from it typically downplay the overall allied contribution. still pretty fucking good movies tho.
i wish more movies covered battles the US wasn't really involved in like Passchendaele, Verdun, Gallipoli etc. the Dunkirk movie is one exception but it's also kinda shitty if you go in hoping for action. there is a Canadian movie called Passchendaele but it's 99% bull shit romance and 1% war. i actually can't believe we haven't made a Vimy movie since it's by far the most famous Canadian battle.
