But jokes and cringe aside: I agree, that western culture is about to fall. In fact it is falling already, furthermore its about to hit solid ground and shater. But the reason is not high income per se, but hedonistic and materialistic life style made possible by high income. We western are implementing too much technology in our world and life, we have trapped ourselves in the digital, virtual world. Everything we or our ancestors would call "technological advancement" is decadency in reality. A perfect example is the smartphone, which turns everyone into a mindless zombie. We have paved our planet to make streets, destroy woods, now water cant run out and is causing floods. Computers are great, but people dont develop any skills anymore, but instead are dependent on automatations. We sre heaving physical and psychological issues like depression, fucked up postures and necks, we are weak etc, because we are not meant for a world that we are living now, and we are to blame because we have created it.
