You know what always genuinely struck me as incredibly foolish about her campaign, and her as a person? I've seen entire cars blanketed in her bullshit campaign propaganda (California, fucking shoot me), and the amazing thing was that literally NONE of them were about anything other than HER. "#Imwithher", "The Most Qualified Woman In History", "I'm Ready for Hillary", and on and on and on and on...LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE ONE was purpose-built to be nothing more than Hillary jerking her tiny member all over the car that it was attached to. NOT FUCKING ONCE did I see anything even remotely close to anything even resembling a policy or stance of hers, or anything that said ANYTHING about the American voter other than that they were (in her eyes) slavishly devoted to the idea of Hilldawg as President.

Trump ran.
Both the Republicans and Democrats and conceded entirely to Hillary winning the White House. The Dems strat was to appease progressives with Bernie during the primaries and the Reps were looking to maintain appearances for holding Congressional majority. Neither party took the election seriously because both considered it over before it began. Their assumption was that Jeb would win the primary and lose to against accusations of sexism, but will favor with Hispanics in the process after a hefty endorsement from Rubio. Both parties gave up entirely on appealing to White or nationalist voters.
Trump was the only one that took advantage of it, and probably the only one that could have gotten away with it. It threw a wrench straight into both of their plans.
Nothing, I repeat, NOTHING short of Trump could have beaten Hillary because he was the only one with no real long term political investment. And it shocks me that do few people understand that. I'd chalk it up to dumb luck on his part, but I firmly believe that it was entirely calculated on his part but too bizarre for anyone else to consider. Hillary world have certainly won had he not run.

Seriously, it's almost impossible to overstate how much white Americans hate the idea of the political establishment. Non-whites love it because in aggregate they take much more from the system than they pay into it, but those of us footing the bill have been looking for a reckoning for a very long time.

I am pretty sure that video cost her a lot of votes as it really highlighted how out of touch she is.
Another thing was that she had no real platform. It was all about love, women and talking about Trump. The general feeling I got from watching her speeches and Tweets was that her only argument was "I do the opposite of Trump" and a lot of her speeches and Tweets revolved around him, she basically gave him free publicity throughout her entire campaign.

She had a mini stroke during the campaign and had to hide for rehabilitation for 4 months. Even then it wasn't enough and she was weak and needed braces and easily passed out (common with post stroke victims). This threw the campaign plans into a tale spin forcing them to rewrite a lot of their plans and rely on obama and the like to stump for her, while she either had no or very limited engagements. Making it difficult to control messaging and react to the changing campaign. This is on top of all the stupid things her campaign did, like "deplorables" and "I'm with her" and so one. Plus a poor message "more of the same", which was poison to people hurting the most, blue collar workers. I would also argue the over zealous media control backfired a bit and turned people of. but I doubt it was substantive.
Absolutely everything went wrong for them.
