His stories are okay. They can entertain.
I don't really care for his prose, but when others explain the deeper structures and wit behind some of it, it's a bit impressive. Although I've never been sure if it's all intentional, or if you couldn't find similar things in other writings/authors if only you looked hard enough. Sometimes it seems like people are reading and finding more into the text, structure and subtext than could actually be intended by the author.
