Jordan Peterson appears dangerous to our cause at first because both his actions and his stated goals show that he's intent on heading young white men off at the pass before they stumble into alt-right (or whatever you want to call it, fuck off) thought. He's trying to be a pressure release valve or a net, to grab guys on their way rightward and say, "That's far enough, bucko. C'mon over here and clean this room with me and these other dangerous thought criminals." So of course we should disdain him for that.

But we don't need to be worried about him, or even stop him. Because as much as his goal is to be a "healthy substitute" for alt-right thought, he's not very good at it -- in fact, he's more of a gateway drug than anything. The people who listen to him eventually graduate from the same talking points repeated monotonously over and over again, and when they end up at places like this board, we bully the Peterson out of them.

If he were effective at what he wants to do, he'd be dangerous. But as it is now, he's a useful tool who, while by no means our ally, is actually beneficial to keep around. At least for now.
