There is sooo much new music being produced today from so many sources, including completely independent stuff. Broaden your horizons a bit - popular music and stuff on the radio has generally always been terrible, and with the internet nowadays we can access crazy amounts of new music. Maybe check out your local music scene or that of a nearby city.
