My Dad introduced me to Rush Limbaugh. He used to be an auto-paint salesman who went around to garages to sell paint and paint equipment so he drove a lot and ended up listening to the radio a lot.

I remember we would have some project and we'd drive around town all saturday tracking down the bits chit-chatting.

We checked out every candy shop in town and wholesale places too looking for black string licorice to draw the bear on the bear cub-scout logo.. We could have gotten black frosting, but we drove everywhere racking our brains for candy shops chatting about everything all saturday and we eventually found a place that sold stale black string licorice.

To this day I seek out black string licorice and prefer it hard and stale.
