The short of it: Communism has always failed and will always fail.

The long of it: The far-left (communism) and the far-right diverge at several key points about the basic truths in life. From which they build the rest of their ideology around.
For example, where does the locus of control lie? Is one responsible for their own actions and, therefore, their condition or is it the outside world and the effects it has onto people which is responsible for their condition?
The far-left would say it is the world which creates the condition of a person and it is not their fault. They either didnt get enough education, were given a bad hand, and so on into oblivion.
The far-right would say, at least I would, that the locus of control ultimately rests within the individual and it is his responsibility to bring forth the will and determination to improve his circumstances to whatever degree might be possible. He may not be able to choose the circumstances, but he gets to choose how he reacts and, therefore, responsibility rests with him.
You can easily see how the next step for the far-left would be to fix the circumstances and to limit the ability for the individual to be harmed by the world. The far-right would instead encourage self-improvement to meet the obstacles and conquer them. It is clear that one scenario would create strong men and the other weak men. Strong men create good times and weak men create bad times.

The most fundamental split, and most relevant to your post, comes in the approach toward the reality of nature itself. Is man above nature or is his a subject to it?
To the far-left, man is superior to what nature dishes out. To the far-left, it seems evident in the march of progress. It also seems evident in man's constant striving to become better than simply what nature provides, to become more than just a being of flesh. In man, the left sees man as having the ability to rise above nature and to conquer it.
The right on the other hand (speaking very generally) sees man as a flawed creature. One which is subject to nature and who must adhere to her laws. The right would instead seek to work within the bounds of nature and to achieve greatness within its forever restricting bounds, recognizing that an attempt to step out of its bounds is like flying too close to the sun.
Essentially, one adheres to nature's laws and the other attempts to rebel against them. In the case of the later, it is a futile exercise. Putting it as simply as possible: nature is truth. Truth is simply what is. If it is, then it is true. If it is not, then it is false. All that is nature is true, it is. The two are essentially the same thing. If one goes against nature, and, therefore, truth, then the results are not going to be what the experimenter wants. If you hold in your mind, "humans have the ability to fly on their own" and then jump off of a building, you will die. Humans cannot independently fly and attempting to do so in blind disregard for what is true, what is nature, you will fail to achieve the results you desire.
It is from this that most if not all far-left thought is built upon, the conception that humans are not bound by nature, by truth, and may do whatever they want. Consider trannies for instance. They are not the other sex and can never become the other sex. They are bound by nature to be what they are; however, to the leftist, (will cont.)

However, to the leftist, to say so is to oppress the tranny. To them, man is above nature and may pursue whatever he wishes, like cutting his dick off and changing his name. They attempt to go against that nature and they believe that this will make the tranny feel liberated and happy. However, the result is the tranny looking horrific and blowing his brains out before age 30. Whereas someone from the right would instead recognize that there is a problem within the individual and treat it as what transsexuality is, a mental illness. The rightist would instead work within nature and within truth to address the problem as it needs to be addressed.

There are many of examples which can be delved into; however, I hope that the point has been made clear that far-left ideologies, including Communism, fail because they are fundamentally divorced from nature and from truth. Furthermore, they actively go against the two. As a result, their experiments always seem to fall short. If you look at any Communist regime, it is very clearly not what Communists like Marx had envisioned. That is because their theories are simply incorrect. They lack truth due to their attempt to work in opposition to it. When the theories are tried, they go way off track because of that.
