All articles seem to reference a single interview(starring Dixon himself) where Dixon talks about doing this. This is about as reliable as a Youtube comment, considering no one else seemed to have a picture of the event. You'd think there'd be at least one image or video of this occurring, considering every person is armed with a cameraphone and someone carrying around a loaded weapon and chasing the driver would be an important and dramatic event.
