Most venues do not have metal detectors or screening for said weapons however and anywhere between 1-5% of the population conceal carries on a daily basis. Certain states have rules concerning public areas like schools that could overlap with venues so it's always best to be fully aware of the law in the State you are in, but it's a safe bet that no matter where you are, multiple people around you are armed. A common saying here is "It's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6"

2 reasons
1. It's not our culture. Sports games are family events for people with disposable income. Very few people want to fight for silly reasons when their 9 yr old is with them
2. Security. (((Threat of terrorism))) has turned the games into Ultra-secure zones of no violence. Armed cops show up very quickly if there is even a hint of people getting rowdy.
