I would also enforce a religion of sorts that alligns with my views, establish and task the clergy with teaching new generations and help run local administrations in service of the ruling warrior aristocracy so that we do not need to rely on the unscrupulous bureaucracy that already rund things. Also placing myself at the head of this religion and the administration as both highest religious and highest secular authority, a God-King.

Christianity is likely out of the question due to cross-contamination from foreign Christians and pre-conceived notions from existing ones, who will have to be converted.

I was thinking a Zoroastrian-style approach to a reimagined native Germanic paganism. Philosophically sophisticated and endemic, without the superficial LARPing requiring suspension of disbelief in the classical anthropomorphised gods. The philosophical monotheism inherent in such a belief system will also help ease in converted Christians, hacking their existing neurological predisposition to believing in a sole omnipresent deity.
