A People's History of the United States

I just finished reading this. So is a lot of the rhetoric here due to the elites pulling the wool over all your eyes? Are they hiding class conflict? To get this out of the way: Zinn was a Jewish socialist.

Isn't this the hate America student text?

I've just finished a degree in history. Short response is that they like the history from below methodology. But chastise the likes of Zinn, Hobsbaum and Said for their lack of interpretation of it.

ive never read this book but since chapotraphouse far-left kind of people like it i assume its shit

Then fuck off. Get better taste.

Care to elaborate on that last sentence?

If you are American and haven’t read pic related, you are fucking up

What a waste of time. People’s History is built around Zinn’s attempt to absolve Stalin for any responsibility for igniting WWII. Root of the poisonous tree.

As Zinn was a member of the CP before the war and supported the Pact (until June 22nd, 1941, of course), my assumption is that People’s History had the blessings, of not the assistance of Direcorate A (Active Measures) at Moscow Center during the first roll out back in The Seventies.

>Writer Zinn was a Jewish socialist.
Do the opposite of everything this book says.

>Glenn Beck
Lol fuck off boomer

Democrat politicians do benefit from racial tension, and I wouldn't be surprised that they intentionally fan the flames of racism.

Sure, their has been vital debate in the historical community about the works of Edward Said for example. The argument goes that his interpretation of the Persian to Islam western view point has never been really that valid inside historical communities. (their are parts that are undoubtedly correct).
however he tends to use momentum to take the analogy's further than they ought to go. For civilian knowledge many of his presuppositions don't apply and never did as most people weren't clasasists.

they made us read this horseshit as part of an orientation for a fucking engineering degree

>elites are pulling wool over your eyes, just keep importing more cheap labor for us

???
Why? Was this some diversity in STEM bullshit? What university?

Yes

Real History, aside from Zinn’s vituperative trash, is Carroll Quigley’s “Tragedy and Hope”. He lays it all out, including the controls put into place by the Banks after the World Wars.

My summer read,

It's all fucking lies

the most ridiculous commie bullshit book I've ever been forced to read for my worthless history degree.

I did learn that George Washington’s was one of the richest Americans at the time.
Bring that up when a leftist complains about how rich trump is

It's standard Cathedral "accuse your enemy of being overwhelmingly powerful, when you in fact hold all the power". If Zinn was a serious threat to power why would he still be employed?

>Howie Zinn
Ahh yes, the one all the leftists get there anti-American bullshit talking points from

>Quigley
>mentor to bill Clinton
What did he mean by this?

"Class conflict" is kike d&c. Even racial conflict is--Whites know they can keep blacks at a distance (without Jewish agitation) and blacks know they're better off with Whites around.

The Hostile Jewish elite's prime directive is: get the goys' attention away from (((us)))!

Please tell me this is a LARP. I mean I shouldn’t be surprised, but forcing commie propaganda Zinn as required reading for fucking engineering?

Does anyone have that picture of Harold Zinn lecturing at a Communist Party meeting? I never saved the pic from years ago and now it seems to have vanished from the internet.

They hate Washington and all of the founding father.
>muh rich white slave owners

>A People's History of the United States
considered wildly inaccurate, why don't you actually research the criticisms of something you just read instead of ingesting it completely and pretending it's undeniable gospel?

*their. Derp

>filthy communist writes filthy communist lies

Shocking.

thoughts on Niall Ferguson? I seem to remember watching a clip of his when I was in a mid east history class

They’ve made that kike scroll required reading in a number of high school districts across the country as well. Nothing to see there, goy

what is the best counter to this book? this is the left's holy grail, what is the holy grail of the right?

Zinn was right about love knowing no age.

Reality

>Zinn was a Jewish socialist.
>listens to what the heeb has to say to rewrite history
Never listen to a jew, user

> the elites pulling the wool over all your eyes
If Zinn and his Marxist claptrap were a threat to the elites, why would it be required reading in state-funded academia or be published by a capitalist publishing house?
>Zinn was a Jewish socialist
What happens if you criticize Jews in current year society? What happens if you criticize white males? What does this tell you about who actually wields power?

This is the book Matt Damon tells Robin Williams to read in good will hunting.

>watching (((tv)))

This book only confuses children.

I went to high school in Portland, Or, and this was required reading, just a bunch of marxist B.S.

The kike was literally a Mumia backer. Kinda says it all right there.

Any good comprehensive US history books pre ww2?

So, what? Tax the rich to pay farmers? What's the plan there? Everyone just contributes to food production? He kept talking up the arts in the book. Are clarinet players going to do their agricultural duty?

I think you're gonna have to rely on dividing it up into different specific periods/events/etc - US history is tough to do all once and do it comprehensively.

It’s not supposed to make sense, it’s supposed to sound good to the rubes
