What matters is a viable trade network. All these years the American navy has been guarding the world trade order. Chinks niether have the will or ability to do this themselves, but desperately need the oil along with every other NE Asian country.

The U.S. is leaving the Middle East. Our Carrier battle groups are only in the Persian Gulf 50% of the time now. When that number is 0%, the Chinks will have to fight wars in the middle east to secure their oil. The Japs and Koreans will also probably have to fight for the little oil that remains flowing once the action really picks up between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
