Why do people on this board always speak negatively about cities? There are many, many benefits of living in a city that living in some rural farm town do not. I am not being condescending towards rural life, just offering the benefits of urban life. These benefits include:
>Many resturants
>Theatres
>Swanky bars
>Shopping
>Concerts
>Being close to everything
>Faster services
>Not having to move far from your family to find work
Question
Most of them are full of niggers.
There are white neighborhoods.
>tfw staten island
>not considered part of nyc
>still a shithole
So your best defense of cities is that you can go shopping, or pay for entertainment?
Peak American city
You forgot higher crime, higher pollution, etc. They have their pros and cons.
read or listen to the unabomber manifesto
That you have superior entertainment, employment, and faster services,
I could cherrypick poverty stricken Appalachia as well.
Which is healthier, a wild tiger or a tiger in a zoo?
What if you had an aquarium except you never cleaned it, and instead of fish poop it got dirty with human poop, and also a bunch of modern industrial chemicals, pollution, and drugs?
And theyd5have less crime than cities
Cities dehumanize people
We are not tigers or fish, so not an argument.
Naw... fuck cities
>Homeless camps
>Niggers
>Nigger bars
>Faggot towns
> liberal faggots
> Niggers
>spics
> Jews
> coal burners everywhere
The list goes on for days on why cities are shit holes
Live in a safe neighborhood.
Just preference m8. Some people like a buzzing urban center with access to all of that shit. Some people prefer peace and quiet, a high trust community, lower crime, cleaner air, etc.
When I was younger I loved the excitement of the city, now that I'm in my thirties I want to GTFO and start a family in the woods.
>every reason to live in a city is fucking degenerate and/or lazy as fuck
Yeah, no, go fuck yourself kike I wont fucking buy in.
Where are the best places to have sex with young illegal girls in cities
I'm thinking about flying to San Francisco to walk around and bang some asians illegally
>young illegal girls
do you mean "have a seat over there," or "undocumented"
Mostly both
But not at the same time
Maybe at the same time
Yeah, at the same time
>Many resturants
Insane wastes of money at best. At worst you're contributing to a blatantly hedonistic lifestyle.
>Theatres
Mostly all college-run or independent. These are all terrible. In the off chance you are able to go to a distinguished theatre, you can't afford it because tickets start at $100 to see Cosi Fan Tutti (unless you live in a massive cultural hub (literally just NY, Paris, London, etc) where they will cost thousands and have waitlist). Regardless, a vast minority of stagings will be faithful to the source material --they will mostly be terrible presentations that decide to "reimagine" Shakespeare by making Hamlet a gay transexual black Italian in contemporary backdrops. This goes for Indy films all the way to Broadway.
>Swanky bars
Literally degenerate. Even if you don't buy into Jow Forums's degeneracy meme, they're a waste of time and money. Go and be productive with your life.
>Shopping
Stop being a consumerist whore. Buy clothes and materials that last and focus on that which actually matters.
>Concerts
Peak degeneracy and there's no hiding this. Enjoy looking at a 70 year old man's cock flap around while tweaking on shitty E.
>Being close to everything
Why do you need to make your life so easy? Staying further away from things encourages you to spend less and be more self-reliant.
>Faster services
Depends on the service, but I might just give you this one.
>Not having to move far from your family to find work
Find a job that pays less and live a more economical life. It never ceases to amaze me that people would rather earn $5k+ a month only to piss $3k+ away in rent/exorbitant City costs when they could move to a rural setting, make $4k a month and spend $1k on costs.
Sorry OP.
Btw the Talmud taught me to go to strange cities and do illegal things
You sound like a boring doomsday prepper. Some people like to enjoy life.
Yeah, I remember when I was 23 too.
Everything you listed as your idea of positive for city living, is exactly why I hate city living...I moved out of city life in 1985, and never looked back...
>>Many resturants
I cook better than most restaurants the serve brought in food that's mostly frozen when they get it.
>>Theatres
I haven't been to a movie in over ten years. Fuck plays.
>>Swanky bars
Over priced drinks
>>Shopping
Internet
>>Concerts
Bunch of drunks or stoners
>>Being close to everything
Also close to niggers, spics and muzzies.
>>Faster services
What services, Dry cleaning? Mine is same day service.
>>Not having to move far from your family to find work
If my family wants to see me, they can get in their car and come over any time.
Oh and niggers
Wow devastating retort. I stated like three minutes ago I'm in my thirties and hate the city, but you still sound like a nofun fag.
>don't do anything, just horde money and bury silver.
I'm not sure either, I live in a major Northeastern city and like it. It's very expensive but that just means I am earning more dollars, which will provide me a one time windfall in purchasing power and I settle down and move to a less expensive area.
Living in the suburbs in my 20s would be depressing, and the truth is many suburb medium/large towns are decaying. There isn't much going on so a lot of people just use drugs or drink constantly. DUI's are VERY common in those areas because there is nothing else to do. Why be around a bunch of people who are miserable.
>Muh faster hedonism
Pathetic. Cities are where bloodlines go to die.
Today you have a big selection educational selection, career opportunities, networking across cities, can get education overseas, network with people across the world for business, and going on vacation is cheaper. We also have better technology, we live longer, we have better medicine etc
Civilisation is at its peak right now. It's not perfect, but it's Still better than anything from the past.
Go outside and get off Jow Forums, user. There world isn't as bad as you think. I don't see famine in Europe and America, I don't see huge world wars, and I don't see retarded peasants living on rural farms
It's been proven living in a city increases risk of mental illness. History is rife with examples of cities being centers of degeneracy and illness; humans aren't made to live in cities.
If you dont like the things you listed. Cities are shit.
Cities are great. So vibrant and diverse!
>Why do people on this board always speak negatively about cities?
Are losers who can't afford to live in one.
You live in the city, and you're a faggot.
I don't like cities because that's where the faggots are and I don't want to be around you faggots. Also, nothing on your list intrigues me in the least. I'd rather shoot guns in my backyard
Cities are for people who want to make it in life. My sister graduated as a lawyer. Where did she go? City. Not a forest across the swamp from shrek
I literally hate seeing alot of people thats why I despise cities, suburbs have a comfier proprotion of apes living around you.
Those aren't benefits to everyone. For someone who can't stand being away from nature, it's all downsides.
No one hates 'faggots'. Only old people or men who are jealous that gays are friendly with women
Cities are great but:
1. We built American cities different then all cities in history with larger streets damaging the walk ability of the city.
2. Diversity kills cities.
The right wing needs to cross over into cohousing / pocket neighborhoods. Community life controlled by the people (no nigs) living financially cheaper but socially richer.
That's all wrong
I could shut your entire sister's education and profession down with one document
We have to go back.
Back to our European roots.
>in my thirties
Boy, you sure blossomed late
What are you even talking about?
The only thing your sister is gonna make, is either a nigler, her own divorce papers, or fancy wet pet food for her 12 cats.
Really? Then why do all the richers have vast estates in the country? They made money in the city and ESCAPE it whenever they can. Not much use for that nice boat in the city. What is it exactly that you think life is about, really?
>>Many resturants
>>Theatres
>>Swanky bars
>>Shopping
>>Concerts
>>Being close to everything
None of these things appeal to me
>>Faster services
>>Not having to move far from your family to find work
Conceded
Modern Life Power Rankings
1. Cities (If people don't behave like animals)
2. Suburbs
3. Country
4. Cities (If people are behaving like animals)
Something way beyond your knowledge, goy
I live in Tokyo and fucking hate it. When you live in a city you’re surrounded by mindless consumerism and it really starts to settle in how disgustingly shallow the average person. It’s funny because back when I lived in a rural town in Kansai I always wanted to live in Tokyo but now I want nothing more than to go back.
You're projecting. It's great living I. A city, plus you meet new people and opportunities. Something that can kvetch happen if you're living like varg and hating on society. Itbdoesnt help you. Most of my work consists of networking with other students and graduates, and even I and my work friends sit in Costa or Starbucks most of the time. It's great.
All that shit is attractive to younger people and singles, when you have a family to care for you tend to stop caring about "entertainment/recreation" and begin to focus on other priorities. Security, sustainment, independence, sovereignty.
You're wrong though, I hate faggots too
>>Many resturants
Meh, home cooking is the good life.
>>Theatres
This is true
>>Swanky bars
Fuck you
>>Shopping
Useless consummism. Also you can buy anything online and delivered to your home in cheaper prices.
>>Concerts
Yes.
>>Being close to everything
Hell no, i hate that.
>>Faster services
Gotta go fast!
>>Not having to move far from your family to find work
Why i would work far away of my home? If i live in the rural area is cos i work there also.
I like the cut of your jib.
What are you talking about? She's a woman with an education a success, so it will only make her more appealing. She can meet a successful man and have a successful life. You just sound like one of these people who want to encourage women to be losers. Also your image is blurry lmao
>kvetch
I wish we could have lots of little cities with nice things instead of just regional cancers that grow endlessly.
lol this nerd
Go to Russia, especially the smaller towns and cities. Aoc is 14.
Life us about success, and you need to be in a city to make money. Also, education is so important in today's society.
I don't feel like going to Russa
Russia is going to come to me
And liberate me from the loli hating gubmint
>lol this nerd
Shut the fuck up how bout that
>Many resturants
I can cook better to suit myself, and I have seen what goes on in the kitchens
>Theatres
Watching people prance around like a bunch of Kansas City faggots
>Swanky bars
Don't drink, and that word Swanky probably means overpriced
>Shopping
The only shopping not available locally is for stuff I probably didn't need anyway, excepting Amateur Radio equipment, and I can get that shipped
>Concerts
I and my friends can sing and play
>Being close to everything
Being away from everything
>Faster services
Faster attitudes
>Not having to move far from your family to find work
If I lived in the city, I would be far from my family
I appreciate your input, but I don't agree. You go ahead and enjoy your city life, but I will continue to live where I choose to. Just remember the tale about the Town Mouse and the Country Mouse.
I r8 this b8 4/8
oooh kitty has claws meEEoow
People define success differently, and I infer quite a bit about your confidence if you think you can't be successful without someone else's infrastructure provided for you. Good luck faggot
You sound like a city slicker.
Having lived in both I can calmly say that none of the benefits you have mentioned are worth it.
I don’t need shopping and much of my entertainment I can find on the internet.
And I like traveling around.
I've always fantasized about the big city life.
Cost of living is alot higher though.
Why would any individual care about who owns the infrastructure? If there's a oath to earning good money by either your own or someone else's mean, then so be it.
There is a 3rd way between isolated cities and isolated suburbs.
It's a mile and a half to my mailbox; nine miles to the nearest town, pop. 2000, and 46 miles to the nearest city, pop. 125,000.
When I retire, I hope to have enough to move out to God's Country (what we call the *really* rural areas), because even having a town of 2,000 nine miles away is making me claustrophobic.
Taxes. Taxes everywhere.
I’ve done both. Suburbs are best
I lived in SF for years, got out right as it started declining into the hellhole that it is now with bums and feces and needles everywhere.
Let's review your list in a 2018 context:
>Many resturants
Filled with the chefs from around the world that couldn't cut it in their local cuisine (I tried for years to find a decent chicken fried steak and became sick to death of sourdough bread) that also charge you three to four times what the food is worth at half the portions.
>Theatres
Enjoy standing room only to minor events stuck in line behind whiny dindus that always have problems with their tickets (i.e. trying to get in for free) Further enjoy being begged at while standing in line on the cold street as icy wind is funneled through buildings to cut right through anything you're wearing. You're standing by a smelly steamy manhole and being nattered at about some pothead's weed trip and maybe you see a giant rat. When it is your turn to move it takes an extra five seconds because you're stuck to the ground due to the nasty masses of black chewing gum left on every finger available surface.

>Swanky bars

>Concerts

God bless son. Sounds lively lol.
How's the meth and pills out on your end? I live in a town of under 3,000 in the rural upper bridge country BC and the meth and fent is pretty bad. Be honest now, small towns and substance abuse go together like PBnJ
Cities are the cesspools of humanity. Nothing and I do mean NOTHING good comes from cities.
Because if you're going to rely on that infrastructure, you're going to pay for it, whether in taxes or inconvenience. You could spend your money elsewhere and enjoy a higher quality of life. Of course, that's subjective and you've probably never experienced anything else
>I lived in SF for years, got out right as it started declining into the hellhole that it is now with bums and feces and needles everywhere.
So you got out in like 1968?
>Swanky bars
Overpriced drinks and young underemployed people desperate to network but don't approach any as that's raaaaape in 2018.
You might be in a dance club and get a look at a neon suited rave whore dancing in a cage before she gets some cocaine from her pimp in the bathroom.
>Shopping
8-15 dollar parking for salvation army tier goods that are 30-60 percent overpriced. Or 3 hours wandering an Ikea maze.
>Concerts
Stand in GGP and enjoy the scent of dogshit in the outdoor venue. It's cold and everyone's an edgy faggot. The girl that you chat up probably has an STD and feminism and wants to take you for everything you're worth before dumping you.
>Being close to everything
You can't own a car because a parking space costs 200/month extra in rent, can't drive a car because the streets are jammed daily with leftist protests or homeless altercations.
>Faster services
What does this even mean? lol
>Not having to move far from your family to find work
You already moved far from your family to get to the city, they aren't cockroaches living in a typical urban 2018 area I hope.
Had to get away from all the assassins and patsy's
It was fun right before the .com crash DESU. Capitalists were gentrifying everything and handing out tons of free shit on the streets. Everyone had jobs and could cross the street for higher pay. Leftists bitched about things being made better constantly so were subdued.
No meth or pills at all, we don't tolerate that stuff in my neck of the woods. The only hellraisers around here are hunters, kids on 4-wheelers, and that one yahoo that likes to set off fireworks at his neighbor's animals just to scare the hell out of them. He won't stay but a year or so more because he is an informant for the sheriff's department and he has to keep moving to keep from suddenly "having an accident".
The county south of me has a horrible meth and house burglary problem, worse than even most coonass places. The aforementioned city of 125,000 has a horrible opioid problem, and the South American gangs are on the rise. If it tries to spread here, I'll just up and leave, I have no attachments to this place other than my relatives I have buried here. I have relatives out West that can help me relocate if need be.
They feel poisonous to me. I don"t feel safe in them, not because of the people, just in general.
If worse comes to worst out in the country you can feed yourself and even clothe yourself. Something sharp and something that sparks and you're set, completely. Mayne not comfortably, but you can get what you need from the prairie or the forest.
IN the city if you have no money, you're completely dependent upon other people, they get to say if you live or die, they can give you a job and/or feed you or not, and you don't have the final say towards your well being if you wish to observe the laws of god and man.
Like if every road around me was closed, my vehicles magically no longer worked, and I was stuck where I live out in the coolies, I could live the rest of my life, not happily but it could be done.
I don't like the water, I don't like to breathe the air, I don't like to join the churning roil of people in their ceaseless dances.
I don't like not being able to see the stars either. I can get lost in a city. I've never been lost outside of one, not in the deepest woods and we do have some of the deepest left anywhere. It would be a waste for me to live in Canada and live in a city when I don't have to.
Our one true benefit is untouched pure clean land, cities are pits of filth and toxic chemicals that would not otherwise exist.
I can just drive into the city to see a show.
And then I can leave.
I'm guessing Ohio
No, Pennsylvania
>cohousing / pocket neighborhoods
nope, nope, nope. fancy trailer parks.
About 900 miles off, each guess. Coastal North Carolina.
The only thing that really makes me apprehensive about moving west to the relatives' area is the cold-ass winters. We don't have that here.
>that white girl
I fuckin’ HATE Chicago, trying to find something comfier and mid-sized
The quality of a place is the quality of its people. The arrangement of houses are increase or decrease social interactions.
If interactions are positive then its good, if they are bad then its bad.
My next guess was South Cackalacky
You didn't mention a single valuable thing nigger. I'll gladly forfeit all those things if it means I'm not surrounded by liberals and niggers 24/7.
Never visit SC anywhere east of Interstate 85. You have nothing to gain and everything to lose.
>Many resturants
So I can pay 3x as much as cooking more frequently?
>Theatres
So I can watch liberal faggots suck each other off, or watch the latest (((Hollywood)))) flick for money instead of free?
>Swanky bars
So that I can participate in degenerate hookup and drug culture?
>Shopping
So that I can buy more cheap Chinese plastic?
>Concerts
So I can pay to listen to shitty bands preach their political messages while being surrounded by drugged-out degenerate liberals instead of just downloading their music?
>Being close to everything
So I can be far away from everything of value (nature)?
>Faster services
So that I will need services quicker because I'm getting robbed by niggers or stepping on used needles and condoms every time I leave my house?
>Not having to move far from your family to find work
So I can live in a ghetto and make minimum wage?
No thanks, intelligent, well-meaning mangerang.
It’s like a house. Too much food and comforts brings out the roaches, rats and other societal pests. This is the state of our cities
Just need to add about 30 refugees and undocumented immigrants to that back right corner house. Diversity is our strength!
>Restaurants
>Theaters
>Swanky bars

Once you pass the age of 30 you should be married with children and these things should no longer be important to you.

Huh?
