They still need someone to work the fryers and actually give the orders to the customers.

This technology would make life a lot better.
I don't like talking to cashiers. Introduce it to fast food restaurants, grocery stores...

no fryers can be operated by robots. Those robots can be fixed by other robots. Orders can be given on a conveyor belt. The only human employees needed would be security guards, but there are now robot security guards that should be working properly by 2020.

Reminder that in-n-out burger starts pay $13/hr and the average store manager makes 130k a year.

Costco starts around 15/hr as well. 'They don't deserve it' and 'companies will go out of business if they pay a decent wage' are memes used by corporate media to keep the goys in line while they rake in billions and billions due to exploiting sweatshop labor in third world shit holes.

3/hr in 1965 = 20/hr in 2018

next best step would be to let me order on my way there and pick up.

It's not about deserve it's about the price of labor

Rail against shitskins before you rail against perceived inequity

They can pay that because they expect better of the workers. By having better workers, they have more customer loyalty. In-n-Out never once messed up an order the many times I was there. Wish they were in my current state; I'd go there over any other burger place every single time. Same with Costco. Instead of "I don't know where that is, sorry," it's "let me help you find that" and their customer service desk is actual genuine customer service.

Paying McD's and Wal-Mart employees $15 an hour won't magically make them helpful. It will just make them more expensive to employ for no additional benefit.

Yep. Just have some app store your usual orders and either order in advance or automatically send it to a kiosk when you're there. Boom. No more lines to order.

I also had a dream of making $15/hr for the first time at 38 years old that would have happened next year if not for my recent paycut. Oh well.

Somebody will still have to cook. Otherwise, I am already using their phone app. I just don't like talking to the people working there.

I hope the robots that cook the food come out soon too.

Awesome, no having to deal with an angry sheboon

You can but now it’ll be for sucking me off

It is already in, although you have to "check in" when you are in close range based on your phone GPS. I mean I did it yesterday in CA. And McDonalds is way behind with this, other food changes allow you to order, pay and then come to pick up.

How often do they sanitize the touch screen?

15hr ain't shit dawg

And stupid in'n'out still doesn't have any electronic/online ordering. They still win on quality though.

>that price tag on the "special ops" glasses in the background

What's going to happen to all the Mexicans working for McDonalds?

I had the same and it took me 12 years to earn it.

You don't start at the top.

Chef at Wendy's.

In n' Out isn't like fast food places, they have their own theme/style.

I hope all major stores automate.
Either the economy adapts and I don't have to work such a shitty job or it doesn't and everything burns down.

Nothing is worse than a service economy.

Thanks for revealing that Easter egg!!

Yeah, we'll see how those pan out in Detroit and Chicago...

machines making fast food will be wonderful
think of it
you can get your HIGHLY SPECIFIC almost autistic special order correct every time
and it will ALWAYS be consistent, always the same way
god that sounds amazing

they took out self checkout from our local grocery store because people could easily steal from them.

Holy shit, I didn't know how layered and thick that glass is.

You have too much faith in robots.

Maaaaaaybe by 2050 but 2020? Nah.

You live in black area?

Sad.

this is a good point because it's not like they would have done this anyway.
oh wait, you're retarded and they'd have chosen the cheapest option all along.

>mfw niggers are actually working

everything fried so its not like it would be hard, I imagine the only thing keeping it from happening is the start up cost

THIS

They already have them in Chicago you stupid rural yokel.

>Nothing is worse than a service economy

This. Never been in it but no matter how much I hate my job I think how much it would suck to be a target cashier or fast food clerk and I go back to work the next morning feeling a little less like ass.

Lel, I just started my first machinist job at 18$/hr. Git gud.

what types of people still eat at mcdicks these days?

Those robots better not forget the fucking pickles.

Who do you think sells those kiosks?
Min wage is pushed by companies who want to force business to buy their automated machinery

>North American cities are full of niggers, spics and Chinks
>Implying these robots will last long against that unholy trinity

who made 3 dollars an hour in 1965

if everyone did your job it would pay shit, learn to understand that a society is more than just you moron

>tfw work at a call center for an ISP

my job is secure, we have an IVR that takes care of most of the basic shit like taking payments and checking on work orders but there's still plenty to do.

Problem is I love using cash and none of these take cash, I don't want to buy into this cashless society we are headed towards. Fuck people who want to know how I spend my money, At the store I always use a person teller, even if I have to wait longer I prefer it.

Why are liberals so retarded? 15 dollars/ hr is not unreasonable to ask for starting manual labor jobs. They wanted to make this the MINIMUM wage for EVERY job and those lazy niggers got BTFO

At Mc.dicks? thats the problem right there

I made $3.50/hour in 1986. No way McJobs were paying that 21 years earlier.

I'm sure they'll pay $15 to the guy who keeps the machines running

In'N'Out's name is an oxymoron.

It is an oxymoron because the place is too fucking crowded along with long drive in lines.

They are in every McD here, in fact, in every fast food. Now, I can't order without one. If you want to tweak your burger at Burger King, it's too much trouble to talk to a human being. You also have every prices and the full menu. You start to order things you didn't even knew existed. And you can still pay in cash, make your order and then go to a human cashier, give your number order and your money.

Self-order > human cashier.

Lets talk about a post-robot economy.
You know, welfare shitty unskilled labor.
Or maybe we should set an expiration on your life if you do not produce.

Attached: logrun3.png (755x400, 198K)

this

Reminder this is in California where $13/hour qualifies you for welfare and puts you well below the poverty line.

Attached: 1519751547453.gif (384x288, 456K)

the walmart self-checkout near me takes cash

As a manager at a McDonalds utilizing the Experience of the Future, I can tell you these only increase jobs.

These are only an alternative form of ordering and do not replace workers.

Because of the higher influx of orders, we will need to hire MORE people to produce the orders, and more people to deliver orders.

McDonalds are creating more jobs and people think this is some sort of retaliation for 15$/hour wages.

Connective tissue burgers, delicious.

>inb4 he lists his cheap, economic, vegan friendly, completely starch dependent diet then proceeds to insult anyone admitting to paying over $1.87 per meal

Attached: 1518469612034.jpg (402x402, 80K)

I order at the Kiosk.
I get a Quarter Pounder no pickles, no cheese, Fries and Drink.
I get cup, pour drink. Fucking out of Dr Pepper.
I get Quarter Pounder - with extra pickles and cheese.
I get fries - cold and limp.
Can I get a receipt- no paper in printer and need to assist employee on changing the paper.
We need to go further automate the damn kitchen. They moved the retarded cashier staff to the kitchen area.

Attached: muh-moneys.jpg (2048x1365, 518K)

>Be stupid ungrateful millennial socialist complaining about first world problems
>Try to take someone else's money
>Now you have no job at all

Hope they enjoyed removing one of the most important gateways to the younger workforce because they just fucked generations to come

>mcjob is a gateway for the younger workforce
absolutely retarded and couldn't be further out of touch with reality

>automate everything in life
>nobody has to work
>company has to pay workers nothing
>goods become practically free
>nobody has anymore money to pay for anything
>company has no more money to create products

>society collapses

can't wait

Most places don't hire under 18 you retarded faggot and McDonald's is a good starter job to teach a teen about what it's like

Neck yourself

>getting a paycut at walmart
jesus christ.. thats fucking sad.

I won't have to order from a monkey? Fuck, I may have to go back to McDs.

wh*te wh*te m*tt m*tt wh*te.

Don't you have someone to murder/get murdered by, Chiraqi?

You're a moron who has never worked food service. You are only thinking of lowering and raising the basket with a timer. There's breaking it down, cleaning it, disposing of the oil properly, there are going to be humans in there for decades and decades longer

>in and out
>quality
Pick one. You go there for cheap burgers and you get cheap burgers. Those fries are garbage.

>no fryers can be operated by robots. Those robots can be fixed by other robots. Orders can be given on a conveyor belt. The only human employees needed would be security guards, but there are now robot security guards that should be working properly by 2020.
Lol what a fucking retard

Yep, first time since I've been here. Positions are being slashed left and right and pay is going down. I think the thing that really gets me is that I'm only making $2 more than when I first started here back in 2005. Hit the bottle pretty fucking hard on the morning after hearing this news.

holy shit you may be on to something.... how do these guys fuck up KETCHUP ONLY like fuck me runnin backwards on a treadmill playing a God forsaken bagpipe

McDonald's is actually a bit late to the party on this.

For ocer a year now my local Hardee's has had touchscreen order kiosks with nicely designed UI's to easily order/customize anything on the menu.

Of course they still have regular cashiers as well, which I assume has a lot to do with the fact that for whatever reason, Hardee's has a shitton of elderly clientele, especially at breakfast.

So to incentivize their use, kiosk orders are given a 15% discount

Attached: wendy.jpg (1024x576, 69K)

lol whats in your freezer

Funny enough I saw a commercial on tv at my grandma's house for those same glasses and they were offering them for over $30 lol.

I make $30 an hour and I still can't afford to buy even a modest house where I live unless my wife also works. The boomers in the 1960s could buy a house on like 2 years salary.

Attached: 3478924346457.png (349x491, 203K)

Chik-Fil-A typically pays more than other fast food restaurants, and people enjoy the service they get at the register - why is that?

>McDonald's is a good starter job to teach a teen about what it's like
yeah maybe a valuable learning experience if you're in the bottom 80% of the population

eat shit and die, boomer

Because they pay to have cute young white girls to work there as it once was the norm in the 60s to the 90s instead of 45 year old hideous squatamalans that can't get your order right.

Attached: 456778902345578934345.jpg (800x633, 199K)

Good. One step closer to automated fast food so I don't have to worry about kids on min wage spitting in my food.

>Either the economy adapts and I don't have to work such a shitty job or it doesn't and everything burns down.

Yep, that's it right there, every fucking time. That entitlement syndrome is probably the worst thing about the whole situation. Your job gets automated and you say "well gee, that's great! So... Who's gonna hand me my better job on a silver platter hmm?".
What makes you think if you were the scum of the earth bottom feeder before that all of a sudden you're entitled to higher (or further in general) employment when your cesspool corner of the job market is finally drained? If your no skills job disappears, now you think you get something that pays better just cause you're not a robot?
You're in for a rude awakening kiddo, prepare to be in a cut throat overpopulated job market with every other no good loser like you who lost their jobs to a robot further saturating it. And the best part is, you have no skills. Let that sink in for a minute. Nope, you probably still think you'd get a better paying job just cause hugs and rainbows. Loser.

very expensive robots. Maybe people will steal the robots. Need humans to guard the robots.

Those self ordering kiosks or whatever are commonplace, and have been for many years. They're not expensive, or specialty.

Supermarkets have self checkout, with a wide variety of vegetables in there where you have to press a button, or code in a upc or something, what supermarkets have is more complex than what McDonalds would have. And in Supermarkets, the shelves could be restocked by robots. But they aren't. And an elaborate system of conveyor belts could be devised to put food in cooking devices, removing food from those devices, placing it on a tray or in a bag, and extending food through a window. That's all very complicated, and would be very expensive. They're not going to do that, they're going to keep using people for that.

Why are bootlickers on this board so adamantly against paying someone a living wage?

somebody did. 3 was well above the minimum wage in 1965.

Yup.

Real easy. I only use self checkout - don't want people touching my stuff.

I'd like to be able to type in a multiple, and scan once. And the new ones won't let you turn off the voice, the older ones allowed you to completely turn off the volume.

But 80% of the people are in the bottom 80% of the population.

Are you really pissed off that someone thinks that a job that is good for 80% of the population is good?

Because there is no way you should be making less than 15/hr by the time you're 25 unless you choose to have developed no skills.

Let's say you started working at 16 at taco bell. After three years you should be a supervisor making around 12/hr. Three years after that you apply for a supervisor position at a better restaurant/retail. Boom, 15+/hr by the time you're 22.

Or you could do what I did and walk onto construction jobs sites/skilled trades buildings and inquire about a job. I got a plumbers apprenticeship that way and now make 90~ k a year. But, most people are too lazy to do a trade. We hire about 10 apprentices a year and only one out of a three year crop will make it to a journeyman.

The min. wage increases accelerated the change, is the point.

Because I understand economics and don't use retarded framing like "living wage" when referring to the minimum (which shouldn't exist).

You’re paying somebody to make you food, but concerned about people touching it?? Wut

They might get an order right for once in their history of employing mexicans.
