34 & plus post here!. We saw the modern age be created before out eyes!

I am 36, I saw the modern day cell phone be created. I saw the first Apple computer, the first Microsoft programed computer, the first cell phone aka the Motorola brick, the first pager, the first digital camera, and now what lead to the modern day cell phone.

how would you describe the change in behaviour of the population during those events?

Extreme

>memes are public and popular
>its cool to be stuck looking at your phone 24/7
>phones now track and hear errthing
>every idiot that can record themselves can become a e celeb

Fuck it the world been burning since it's been turning

The world could be burning, but we have naive girls who show their bodies on social media, that is a plus.

But, if you want to conduct real business. Social media is a great thing, but shouldn't be trusted.

Im stuck in the 90s. More gadgets and culural rot is all thats changed.

just got banned from Tinder, people can't take a joke

What happens if a kangaroo or poisonous snakes tried to kick your ass or bite you? One touch finger and social media mean you can document it and people will either love or hate you by today's standards, depending what you do.

Welcome home my friend. We all love you. We can take a joke.

I'm 27, I saw the first Digimon movie in theaters with a large Surge, popcorn and sour patch kids.
That shit was crazy.

It's very trendy to be "smart" or, more recently "woke" these days. The problem is, people are just as stupid as they have ever been so it's dangerous. Today you have all these fools believing they know the truth, fervantly. In reality they're only useful idiots. Back in the day, most of the population KNEW they were sheep, so weren't so bold in letting everyone know how they felt. Started shifting around 2012 imo.

im 26 and i saw the same shit retard

>I saw the first Apple computer
No you didn't, even the Apple II is over 40 years old

my mom owned one. anyway, have fun with your thread

So, I can fuck your sister? I am 10 years older than her, and know technology like you.

I saw the same Apple computer in high school that I used in grade school. Dont ask. It was ghetto, and it was an Apple 1. I had a Commodore 64 at home for personal use.

I fucking loved paperboy.

you can fuck that weird thing in your american sink that you use to shred organic waste, you piece of organic waste

>>I saw the first Apple computer
>No you didn't, even the Apple II is over 40 years old
>apple II
>first apple

The garbage disposal? I see you are really from another country and not a troll on a proxy. lol. I never grew up on one. It clogs up the sink and needs cleaning overtime.

what is this, fucking reddit?
sage shitty posts

I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate...

It is the real internet world former criminals in Australia. Instead of trying to figure out why Australians like Peter Scully, and The Cult Clan next to your second cousin New Zealand. Shit, we are still why Mel Gibson is still so racist when he was born in New York here in America.

On that note, Id love to marry a pretty Australian girl knows her guns and knives and spit fires the truth.

Are there any sites like omegle still around today?

lemonparty.org is pretty good

That is a hard thing to say. Jerking off to amateur porn without feeling you are paying for it like a cam whore is a hard thing to find.

Born in 82 checking in.

I’m 36.
There has been a dramatic change in population behaviour.
Cell phones connected people
Home internet entertained people
Internet in cell phones isolated people
Before, you would just go out and meet people. You would need to meet to catch up with friends. And you did. Most days of the week, or at least in the weekend.
Nowadays, you look at their social media accounts, leave a comment or dm them/whatsapp them but in practice, you’re not going out as often or seeing your friends IRL as often because the incentive is not there.
We gained convenience and lost human contact and privacy.
Also music has been trash since the 90s.

Heynow!. We might be the grandfather of modern age. We can always have a big laugh when somebody says, wait, music, digital cameras, texting all separate, and say yes. And tell them. There was something called a film from a camera and a walkman.

Well pearl jam can suck it North Carolina isn't lgbtq enough for them.

Oh fuck the early days of the internet were insane.
So much unregulated insanity.
Places like TOTSE allowed you to get information for pretty much anything.
Computers were not developed enough that it was easy to exploit pretty much everything from vending machines to atms.
Credit cards and online ordering were primitive enough that sometimes you can make up a credit card number and the item would ship before they realized it was fake.

you don't wanna know how old i am.

i'm old enough to remember overweight chicks being rare

MySpace angles must be a foreign concept to you then.

i've seen it all.

like i said back in my day most broads were thin and feminine if i was your generation i'd blow my fucking brain out

>that interbellum generational that makes threads on Jow Forums

born in 1980 Poland
I remember Soviet troops and depression and criminality of the 90s and how the west turned us into a colony

They were also crazy cunts.

35 next month here. My thoughts:

- 80s: I was a kid. Watched big sisters go to skating rinks with quarters for payphones. They still had relationships back then. Being "grounded" sucked because that meant no human interaction outside senpai. Niggers started coming to skating rinks, they all closed.

-90s: pagers for most kids from their helicopter parents, still running to payphones with quarters. This was still kinda the same tone. Late 90s had some bigger ugly phones for some kids with money.

-2000s: internet at home kinda started to spoil people. Boys on vidya and girls getting on social media shit like MySpace. They started having their "fishing net of local dick" with their "efficiency boosting" ways of finding who they good looking guys were that their friends already friended.

Late 2000s-2010s/now: smartphone, Tinder, Facebook, women used to having the choice to easily get dick from a guy who is an 8 or higher and/or has a nice car/place and the resources for a fun time. The average betabux normie guy who would've fingered my sister at Skateland while Poison was playing is now running epic raids in his 20s on one monitor and lifelessly watching his porn torrents on the other monitor, while the third monitor has his music playlist among other web browser tabs; utterly resigned and demoralized by the frigid modern woman who is a 5 or a 6, empowered by Tinder to experience dick way out of her league when she wants dick, and empowered by Instagram to take a selfie and get a bunch of thirsty desperate men to give her all of the attention she used to need to go out to experience from one man, but, like HFCS is sweeter than sugar and unnatural, social media gives them this unnatural "superior" equivalent of an "attention harem."

The average girl doesn't need the average man, and pornhub has unique user statistics that will make you gasp when you realize most of those are men.

It's over.

Fuck you boomer trash

Attached: 1529178857093.jpg (1024x620, 95K)

>he calls others trash yet he lives in the balkans
jejjjjj

Women were the first catfishers on the internet with that shit.

37. Saw it all. Do you ever feel like you incarneated at this time specifically to experience extreme change like this?

I remeber logging into Prodigy for my first Internet experience. It was around the time of the big earthquake in Cali. I was so excited and then so confused as to why everything took 30 min to load.

I remember watching people around me lose themselves in social media one by one. I was a technologist that refused the technology and it has been strange watching all of this as both an insider and an outisder.

Used to be fun going on yahoo voice chat with a booter program and hearing some fuck in a karaoke country music room "Sheeeee dun stole mahhhb haaaaaaartttt" then if hit boot and you'd hear all the pop-up noises on their end *POP BAM UH OH PSSB PSHN* and they'd stop singing "gad darnit I'm getting booted, mah shits froze!" until they either alt ctrl deleted out the chat (but most were too stupid so they hit power).

People openly wear retardation like a badge of honor the last decade. They even get paid for it. Fuck (((Them)))

The first game I ever bought for my ZX-80 was a space invaders clone. It was actually just a printout of machine code, and had to be typed in (which took a long time), and at the end it wouldn't save to cassette tape properly so I only ended up playing it once. Things are a bit more convenient these days.

If I was in your situation I think that I would either kill myself or become a terrorist. How horrifying.

I'm 37 and my life fucking sucks

My take is people became even mlre self focused and yet the self became less and less and less. People lost so much of what made them unique. Internet hive mind. So many people polluting their minds and hearts with garbage. So many using this tool specifically to break others apart. To shatter.

On the flip side, I have also seen technology open and expand individuals in ways that assist in their journey to know themselves on a deeper level. The knowledge sharing and opportunities for benevolence have increased. I individuals seeking growth and aligning with strangers to accomplish great feats.

An amazing time to be alive. I just wish more people would put their devices down long enough to withness it.

>says the terrorist flag

Fuck ya, a GenX thread.

Toronto was pretty chill in the early 90's, plenty of bashing and hurting on west indian's was normal.

We're anti Arab terrorists, not anti-tech terrorists, unfortunately.
>inb4 le white genocide
I'd like to take credit but in this sense you goyim played urselves

34 here
saw it all
loved it all
still loving it
looking forward

i thought i'd ask in here, what was 9/11 like?

GenX is 81

82 and 83 is already "old Millenials"

Are you men?

Exciting... fun. Nothing as fun ever since.

>you goyim played urselves
Take that back!

>not buying anti slip back cover for X

47 here
I've fucked a girl who screamed "I'm your fuckpig"
I've put an entire inheritance up my nose and I'm not exactly sure where it came from

I skipped school that morning and remember me and my friend watching it and him saying america will invade. It was bizarre to say the least.

I don't disagree. I quit gab and other so-called WN shit a long time ago. Whites are on the exit. I agree with and enjoy a lot of the late 19th and early 20th century racial intellectuals, even Weininger, but these so-called modern right, well, what's there to say.

They're really just bitter that they were born after the West died. Living in a morgue. Céline and Evola were the last Western writers worthwhile. Houellebecq is a poor man's Céline writing commentary on a morgue.

commercial comes on wow were technology companies doing all this cool stuff. my internet barely works. it's just funny.

I am men

>34 & plus post here

Which includes GenX.

There isn't even music artists these days. Just actors to show normies how to resemble their edgy corporate concocted spiel designed to desensitize society into a degenerate state like Japan.

>yet did nothing to make life better
Typical fucking 90's-80's kid faggot

It's a blurred line. I'm an 83 baby and consider myself old Millennial. Gen X experienced their teens with Breakfast Club. Millennials got their "culture" from the 90s mostly.

The other day I looked at CNN.com from 2003-4 in the Wayback Machine. The headlines were all straightforward and to the point; real news, fresh off the wires.

Compare to CNN homepage today. Perpetual “breaking news,” Buzzfeed style “and that’s terrifying” headlines, gossipy shit, blog-tier articles.

The internet both exploded the demand for content and lowered the barriers to entry to create it, and everything sucks ass now.

I wish Facebook had never caught on, the more I think about it the more convinced I am that Facebook is where it all started to go wrong.

Name your favorite character. For me it was Brandon.

Attached: 51t9i2PKotL._SY445_.jpg (319x445, 41K)

Millennials tried to copy gen x's culture. Then with blogs gaining a foothold, it was copying European millennials. Then settling into some so᠌yim state after accepting they're not the chads.

Nah, you are just a defeatist. I didn't mean that you played yourself out of existence and indeed the evidence doesn't show that you are in any real crisis except for a cultural one. Go back to WN if you know what's good for you, and if you really do care even a little bit about the "West" or about European blood. You deserve national rights and if you do not get them it is your duty to go out fighting in a blaze of glory, and not confined alive inside of a morgue as you've described.
This is only some hard times as a consequence of WW2 and the consequential propaganda campaigns, but, 60 years is a spec in history that did not cause any unfixable genetic damage thus far.
But you know, do whatever you want.

Brave New World was more prophetic than 1984. People are drowned in a sea of normie shit to the point that anything meaningful is obfuscated, by their own choice (do they even have a choice is another question with the feedback loops).

Gen z is copying this

Lmao. Onions. If I had to pick a word to create a friends list, it'd be people who know what onions is.

All these...moments will be lost, in time... like tears in rain

So gen z is basically gen x i suppose but with way more drugs

I know some of you owned these to be cool.

Attached: the90's.jpg (1500x1006, 319K)

Was in college. I remember thinking nothing would ever be the same. I kept feeling extreme empathy even though I knew none of the victims. It was a strange time. People were either sucked in completely by it or were unable to even think about it because it was so impactful. I remember visiting Manhattan for spring break the next year. It was sobering to see the holes where buildings once were.

I experienced a lot of individuals hating others with no basis for it as a result. People giving others the side eye for no reason. Everyone's a suspect type paranoia was in for a while. It was the first time I believed the entire world hated me just because of where I lived. At the same time, there was a sense of American resolve and pride to make this all right again somehow, but deep down I think we all knew something was off. Way off. And now here we are.

You're in denial then about demographics. Birthrates, the fact that the most common baby name in London is Mohammed, that whites are less than 25% of kindergarteners in Texas.

Houellebecq said white men don't want kids and family with this modern woman, they just want hot young pussy. He is right. You Jews and your Frankfurt School did a number on the west. BRAVO. By deception thou shalt do war.

Who knew the rogue archetype would beat the warriors, priests, and poets in world history?

Truth. Social media in general

Guilty.

Also remember when they used to make movies full of toxic masculinity like this?

Attached: Dutch-Schaefer-Predator-Schwarzenegger-e.jpg (500x505, 72K)

An image of Stallone in Over the Top just popped in my head

Fucking everything is a popularity contest. Who the fuck are we kidding gen z isn't going to save shit. They're consumers of social media. They'll be worse off than millennials.

34 here, times have changed. Don’t remember the 80s a whole lot but the 90s was an amazing decade.

Attached: vlcsnap-2016-02-24-11h14m48s50.png (1600x900, 1.17M)

80s had fucking awesome saturday morning cartoons. 90s cartoons sucked i dont care how much of a cult following ren and stimpy had.

My dad recorded 80s saturday morning cartoons for me. I'm 33 so i wouldn't have been able to enjoy them during the 80s.

We should have never given niggers smartphones.

All I remember is AC Slater the beaner, Zack Morris a Jew that dumb onions thought were white, and Mr Belding the archetype fat white bald numale cuck with a collection of BeachGoys records.

Computers and the BBS scene was comfy as fuck during the last 80's and early 90's.

Perhaps. Social media is a powerful tool. I keep thinking that I should reserve final judgment though. On one level it is killing the human spirit. On the other, it is creating such an emotional void that we all might just be able to handle it when the truth of the world we actually live in pours out upon us collectively.

Voids make space for the creation of something new. My great hope is the overload of everything all the time the exact second I desire it will finally be enough one day that everyone will lift their heads up and realize they have a world to create. A better world. One that leverages technology for the greater good and not a playground for our darkest desires.

Regardless, some people have found the Innernet. Thats the future.

I was more blown away by the commercials. I barely remember the shows except darkwing duck, inspector gadget, ninja turtles.

Hey billy... Billy! the other day I went to my gf and said I'd want a little pussy. She said me to mines as big as a house.
youtu.be/Ub0XS8OZGB8

I am 54. I saw the first man walk on the moon live on tv. I remember my childhood when America was prosperous and white. I remember actually playing with other children on the playground and not wasting all day inside fucking off on facebook or playing video games. I remember when people had manners. I remember when society was civilized. Everything turns to shit, my friends.

Attached: 1468126154384-3.jpg (831x1080, 111K)

I saw "2001: A Space Odyssey" in a theater when it was first released.

I live now to pass along what I've learned about (((them))) to immunize those who come after me - like my children - as humanity battles to free itself.

Attached: 2001 70mm 1sheet.jpg (1200x1778, 202K)

I mean as americans we're kind of ingrained to treat everything like a popularity contest thanks to our shitty public schools putting an emphasis on athletics. I don't believe other parts of the world have as many negative problems from social media.

tfw turning 26 in 4 months and have done absolutely nothing with my life
just

Good! Boomer containment thread. Everyone over 30 jump in and discuss who killed Tupock and shit. Old ass sell outs. Fuck boomers!

I mean damn all of our bitching about boomers has resorted to faggy gen z bitches calling us boomers now wtf. Fucking talentless gen z bitches can't even make original content.

Been there done that. Don't worry it gets much much worse.
