I visited my (white girl) college friend moved there to work and it really is a beautiful and quiet country, and the amount of respect and stream-lined way of living is pretty refreshing compared to being in America. Workers here will treat you like shit even if they make $15/hr and everyone I spoke to in Japan was pretty pleasant even though I only could speak a little.
That said, she lived in a shoe box studio with no kitchen or even an oven and no one would date her so she was pretty lonely (she’s not super cute though either)
The only downsides I delt with visiting were the crazy amount of drunk business men at night/on the trains at all times who don’t stop staring at you.
Because it is possible to live permanently as a child in Japan, since the government and your company will take care of you until your death. You will also be able to have sex with women under 250lbs, since your love of comics/games/disney/(insert childish interest) will be attractive to the equally childish females.

I've actually lived in Japan for the better part of 3 years doing contracting work. Life was generally a lot more convenient compared to the USA. It's nice and all wandering around the place unable to communicate meaningfully with the majority of those around you is actually somewhat draining.
However, the novelty of Japan's culture actually does wear off after a while. Some of my biggest frustrations working there is how conformist they are. Some things need to be questioned especially in business.

I work for a Japanese Bank and the general attitude if you want to get something done is, "well this is the way it's always been done, so it can't be helped." I think you have to be really fascinated by the culture and business environment, in addition to high fluency, in order to handle it. If you can handle it though that's great because very few people can politically navigate themselves with Japanese companies, so it's an important skill

That's technically true, but Japan is unique insofar as how low the birthrate actually is. As far as I'm aware Japan has the absolute lowest birthrate in the world right now, or at the very least it's in the top five for all the countries in the world. So saying "well first world country has a declining birth rate and so Japan isn't special" is like saying "well everyone has some fat cells in their body so Jon Brower Minnoch wasn't notable"
