I grew up in the Mormon church. I went a 2 year church mission to Venezuela in the early 2000s. I was a branch president, which is like being a bishop but for a smaller congregation. I know a lot about the church.

They do believe in Jesus Christ but most of the teaching are significantly different than mainstream Christian churches. The main emphasis is on the teaching of modern day Moron prophets. A lot of the focus is on Joseph Smith and the hardships of Mormons that were persecuted, leading to them trekking across the country to the Utah territory.

A lot of the teachings used to be about family and personal responsibility. They encouraged people to first go on a mission and then to college, then marriage and kids. They encouraged people to stay out of debt, to prepare financially, spiritually and physically for economic down turn, natural disaster, war. They wanted members to know how to garden, sew, shoot, hunt, first aid and essentially have the skills to maintain self sufficient communities. The goal was for each family to have a 2 year supply of food and supplies to be nearly self sufficient.

They've moved away from those teachings and the church seems pointless and directionless. In the last decade they've become cucked, going from Blacks not being able to hold the priesthood in the 1970s to working to stop gay marriage in California ~2007 to now embracing gay marriage and gays in the church, just so long as they don't act on their urges to fuck people of the same sex.

The church is now also pro illegal immigration. It's fully cucked and it's hemorrhaging White conservative members. In Utah where the church is more cultural there lots of hardcore mormons but there's also tons of roasties and people rebelling from the church. It's all around annoying.

I went to Utah for college and did not know anything about Mormons. There were two other Germans with me. I got married to sweet Mormon girl last week. I am not a member of the church but I look above average. One of the other Germans I was with joined the church and is now engaged to a girl way out of his league.
