The long supply chains required to reach Russia plus the winter would make it impossible for Germany to win.
The sheer amount of Russian forces and especially tanks would’ve easily pushed the Germans back.
Without the US, Japan could’ve expanded easily to other lands that are easier to take and thus not directly fight with Russia. But even if they chose to still fight Russia, they would’ve gotten the same problems with the huge supply lines and no proper roads, as well as the harsh winter.
