Gonen Segev allegedly met Iranian ‘operators’ in hotels and apartments around world Israel has arrested and indicted a former government minister on charges of spying for Iran, the country’s internal security services have said.
Gonen Segev, who worked as energy and infrastructure minister in the 1990s, “was recruited and acted as an agent on behalf of Iranian intelligence”, police and the Israel Security Agency, better known as the Shin Bet, said in a statement on Monday.
He was detained in May “on suspicion of committing offences of assisting the enemy in war and spying against the state of Israel” and indicted on Friday for multiple charges of “transferring information to the enemy”, the statement said.
It said Segev was first in contact with officials at the Iranian embassy in Nigeria in 2012 and that he twice met Iranian “operators” knowing they were from Iranian intelligence.

Israel wants Iran to go away, but it backfired and now they're closer than ever. Turkey wants to steal Syrian clay. Kurds moved in from other countries and are trying to proclaim half of Syria their own country. America wants Syria to become a base for further strikes and a war with Iran. Iraq is trying to secure its border, working with Syria. Qatar has been flip flopping on who to support because of international politics France and UK are trying to larp a global military power and are doing whatever the US wants. Russia wants peace in the region and America out so they can keep their naval base. Local rebels in Syria are almost all al quaeda, Saudi salafi and affiliated organizations waging jihad against each other. Bashar al Assad didn't ask for this.

There is insanely high pressure on government to pull our money out of US because with current US we can one day face situation where they will just "arrest" all this money. And we are reaching various agreements to trade in nation currency with various nations which allow us to lesser amount of USD we need in trade with other partners, therefore some bonds can be easily redeemed.
