What you left out is that I'll need around half of a year worth of my living expences to cover the production, and then I'll need to find people willing to buy, and then spend more on shipping. Trust me, if I had a couple of hundreds of dollars lying around, I'd do that, living off something like pictures of plushies is my dream, but dreams are dreams, and in reality I need to eat first. And choosing between "certainly becoming a decent person in the eyes of my parents and aquaintances" and "having a vague chance of success", I choose the certain way.
