Why would I want to live in a place full of garbage near water where people piss and shit all year long?
I'd rather live near a mountain or a forest. At the very least if people piss and shit there it doesn't wash all over me with every wave.

We aren't poor and have air conditioning and swimming pools

In wisconsin it's -20 degrees for 3 or 4 months out of the year and another 3 or 4 there's snow on the ground. June, july and august are the peak swimming months. It feels so much better to take a dip in the creek when you know its going to only be like this for a short time. it really makes you appreciate the times you can actually have a swim outside and not freeze to death.

So in other words you don't survive in 35-40°C. I've been in the southern states during high summer and you people ain't adapted to it. You just move from AC chilled cars to AC chilled buildings and sweat your asses off in between.
