Their different approachs towards societal organization put them at odds, and after a few fights they were neutralized by the first. In the end, neither Falangism or Carlism achieved their ends, lost their importance and were later supplanted by the Opus Dei faction

Diversity and multiculturalism did not exist. These things are modern concepts. Obviously when it comes to race the Spanish thought/think it's okay to racemix as long as it's outside the mainland. I"m a foreigner but I live here, and you will see European Mexicans in the rich areas such as markets and malls. Outside of these areas they are not so common.
Outside the rich ares it is not clean at all. When you cross from Texas to Mexico the first thing you notice is all the litter on the sides of the road. In some neighborhoods you will have nice houses next to ugly houses. Lots of trash everywhere, It's a third world country indeed.
